The location of the hotel is excellent just behind the Panteon . Very close to most of the sights . Clean rooms , and friendly staff. Breakfast is very basic , it could have been better considering being in Italy :)

Rooms are well furnished and spacious, especially for the price. Breakfast was good. Staff is a little too business-like & not too warm; but that's to be expected in the heart of a big city. Most importantly, the hotel is the most possible location for visiting Rome. It's about a 2 minute walk from the Pantheon.

As the title suggest, this is a great choice in Rome if you are looking for a small hotel in an excellent location (just behind the Pantheon). While not necessarily a "full-service" hotel like some of the bigger establishments, the Santa Chiara offers pretty much everything most travelers will need or want. I find Rome to be expensive, and you... More

There are many hotels in Rome but there is only ONE PLACE TO STAY, that is, the Albergo Santa Chiara. This lovely, charming Hotel, owned and operated by Flavia backs up to the 2,000 year old Pantheon and fronts on Piazza Minerva where one will find Berini's Elephant. Ever get lost in a city; not Rome. All signs in the... More

My brother booked this hotel and he and I typically have different worldviews and different tastes. That notwithstanding we are very close as brothers but when he told me you booked a hotel I was just a trifle worried. When we arrived I was not necessarily impressed because the room was much smaller than the Boscolo Excedra That I had... More

Great location a few steps from the Pantheon and a five to ten minute walk to the Piazza Navona. Great comfort. Great breakfasts. Great prices -- at least when I went. Helpful staff. What more can you ask for?

I have just returned from 4 nights at Albergo Santa Chiara with my family of 2 adults and 3 children. We stayed in a family room on the 4th floor with a wonderful roof terrace. The room was large and easily accommodated 5 people. My elderly parents had a double room nearby which was equally as comfortable. The hotel is... More

The hotel has a lot of things going for it. The location is central as it can be: Vatican and Colosseum are 20-25 minutes walk in opposite directions, Pantheon and Piazza Navona are around the corner. Rooms are not spacey, but quite sufficient for people who want to see Rome rather than their room. They are very well kept and... More

Last December, I was traveling with Andante Travels a tour group that chose this hotel because of its multi-faceted historic representations, and because they considered it an excellent hotel. I made some of my own arrangements, including requests for assistance re: allergies, etc. Prior to my visit, Federica was extremely helpful in explaining the facilities and in assuring me that... We loved our stay here. Would recommend the family suite for larger families - comes with separate living area and roof terrace. Air con also included which is a must in summer. Neighborhood Profile
Navona / Pantheon / Campo de’ Fiori
With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city.
