I spent two nights and had good room, with nice breakfast. In the heart of bustling Spanish Steps and easy walk to many sites. Very convenient to Metro. Other than front desk, staff were very helpful and friendly. Tip to front desk: smile and greet guests. Some good and bad restaurants nearby, so check Trip Advisor recommendations closely.

We stayed for 3 nights at the San Carlo hotel. It is on a small street parallel to Via Condotti just steps away from the Piazza di Spagna. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The AC worked perfectly and was a very welcome relief in the sweltering heat. Reasonably priced.

My wife, daughter and myself just made a trip to Italy earlier in May. last stop was Rome and we stayed at this simple quaint little hotel. No complaints. Room was cool, no bugs, lots of hot water and a nice breakfast in the morning before stepping out. We did not go to Italy to sit in a hotel so... More

Our three generation family stayed here in July 2015. It is in a great location. The staff is so accommodating and helpful. We couldn't have picked a better hotel! Would definitely recommend it and would also stay again if ever in Rome.

We stayed here July 2015. It was our second stay after we discovered this hotel in 2009. Lovely hotel in an excellent location near the Spanish Steps. Cobblestone pedestrian walkways lead to the front door of the hotel. Employees were very friendly and helpful. We were given a choice between two rooms upon arrival. Nearby shopping and cafes make it... More

Terrible start in room #35 the AC was not working in July. It was merely blowing air. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, she told me with a puzzled face that she had not heard of this prior and that we would have to stick it out through the night and be moved the next... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my college son in May 2014. I had booked one room with two separate beds at a very reasonable price, needless to say you could imagine how happy we were upon arrival to see that we had a room with two separate bedrooms. The room was spotless, and we even had a little... More

This hotel was a gem, located in an adorable side street off Piazza Spagna. The family that runs the hotel were very accommodating and so nice. They had excellent restaurant recommendations and booked us an early taxi to the airport. The room was spacious with excellent aircon and wifi. Breakfast was idyllic on the rooftop with an excellent spread. My... More

The hotel is perfectly situated in the middle of tourist blocks. Rooms are clean and modern. Staff is really nice and helpful. Free and fast wifi. Extra cheap laundry service! Breakfast is poor though. There are some dishes for extra charge. Metro station is in two blocks away. It is also possible to call taxi or uber. However, almost all... More

Rooms are Old time Luxorious and really peacefull. Service is friendly, and because our child we did get excellent room (two floors, own terrace, two good airconditioners). Breakfast was good. Middle of Rome, great location! Spagna Metro is near, but you can walk (even with children) to most of important "have to see" places. Just outside of hotel you can... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
