Its definitely a great hotel but predominantly its location near the termini station is a big plus point. I went there with my parents, but it looked more like a youth traveler stop over. If your looking for a clean reasonable hotel this is it!

I stayed only my last night here, May 22nd. The location of this hostel was its major selling point. It is incredibly close to Termini station. The downside for me was the hostel is directed toward the younger crowd, and I felt highly out of place. If you are younger/college aged and are ready to party in Rome, this would... More

Definitely a youth/traveler hotel for those who want to party and have a good time, but that doesn't mean that it's hard to get a goods night rest here. The hotel does a great job of keeping the noise down, but still encourage a great time. The staff is amazing, super friendly! There is a bar and small club affiliated... More

Great hotel. Clean. Period. The staff are amazing. The pub is great. The toilets are very clean. Make sure to go to night tours, the party that takes place on a bus around Rome. This is one of the best hostels I've ever been in. Lovely people as well.

I'm late writing reviews to places I've been as I'm new to tripadvisor but feel it's important to review both good and bad places. We stayed here in 2007 and ended our three week trip in Rome after visiting 4 other countries. The yellow is a good place if you like to party and don't mind not sleeping. Pros: location... More

Stayed at Yellow Hostel only one night but from what I experience its cool and safe place for a girl travelling solo. Front desk staff super friendly and chatty. Room and attached bathroom were clean. At night quiet to get proper night rest. Across the street ( Yellow co-exist of two buildings) is a nice pub where you can enjoy... More

I stayed here for 5 nights, didn't have much problems. The staff is pretty friendly, they helped me get a cab at 4am which was nice since the trains don't run that early. There is a $3 tax per night that can only be paid in cash that is not included in your price. There are two buildings, I stayed... More

The Hotel is placed in the quite good place, not too far from Termini to walk there and not too close to feel uncomfortable. The room was clean and nice, clean bathroom, towels. Very nice staff. You can buy cheap breakfast on the other side of the street and fantastic pizza on the street corner.

I visited The Yellow while I was staying in Rome. I was excited to find the lounge/bar area in the basement of the hostel. It made things really convenient and meeting new friends easy! I met a bunch of people from my home town there which was really cool, I wouldn't have met them otherwise I doubt. There were $3... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
