Came here for a few days in July. Big clean spacious rooms. Lively place. Big bar and nightclub on bottom floor that's also called the Yellow. Huge place so loads of people to meet. Supermarket round the corner and really close to Termini. Nice showers and toilets on each floor. Will hold your luggage for you for free. You even... More

Pros: -The staff was really friendly and helpful, the suggested tours are to try at least once! You learn about a different side of Rome, a more drunken funny kind. :p -For a solo traveler like me, it was a great place to meet other awesome backpackers at the Yellow bar. -Near the bus/train/subway station of Termini Cons: For my... A cultural amalgam! Friendliest staff and definitely an adventurous experience. Perfect location right next to termini. I was able to visit most touristic landmarks by foot... The bar is busy at night and might actually get overcrowded...

1 star - purely for the wifi, it was quick and never dropped out. I was expecting great things from this hostel but was bitterly disappointed. Broken tiles in the room, stained walls next to my bed, no handle on the shower to turn the water on, mould and cracked paint in the shower.. This place was filthy. Staff referred... More

Only one person on the bar of an evening when it's their busiest time, took ages to get a drink, the staff weren't overly friendly and enthusiastic to be there working behind the bar. Booked a private room for two and got two single beds. Beds however were comfy. Room was on the first floor by main road, noise was... More

Stayed at the yellow for two nights in june 2015. I was overall impressed at the cleanliness, comfort and overall good vibe to this hotel. The hotel is in a good location about a 5 minute walk to termini which is convenient if you want to take the metro. Beds are decent but the one thing that lets it down... More

Its definitely a great hotel but predominantly its location near the termini station is a big plus point. I went there with my parents, but it looked more like a youth traveler stop over. If your looking for a clean reasonable hotel this is it!

I stayed only my last night here, May 22nd. The location of this hostel was its major selling point. It is incredibly close to Termini station. The downside for me was the hostel is directed toward the younger crowd, and I felt highly out of place. If you are younger/college aged and are ready to party in Rome, this would... More

Definitely a youth/traveler hotel for those who want to party and have a good time, but that doesn't mean that it's hard to get a goods night rest here. The hotel does a great job of keeping the noise down, but still encourage a great time. The staff is amazing, super friendly! There is a bar and small club affiliated... More

Great hotel. Clean. Period. The staff are amazing. The pub is great. The toilets are very clean. Make sure to go to night tours, the party that takes place on a bus around Rome. This is one of the best hostels I've ever been in. Lovely people as well.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
