I can only agree with other comments the location is ideal . It really is 1 minute to the Campo de Fiori. A lovely square to watch the world go by on an evening enjoying a drink or three. The rooms are small but were kept very clean . As others have said don't worry about breakfast , there is... More

I stayed in this hotel twice. Now, I am from Rome, but I was here in a tour with American college students. The place is in a perfect location, just a few steps away from Campo de Fiori. The rooms are small but clean and cute. Be sure to ask for a room with private bathroom. You can have breakfast... More

I stayed here with my school program, and I absolutely loved it! It has a prime location being just steps away from Campo dei Fiori and within easy walking distance to all of the sites of Rome. It is supposedly the oldest hotel in Rome and was built on the ruins of the Theater of Pompey (where Julius Caesar was... More

I visited in July 2013, and instantly we were amazed at how central the location is! Right next to the Campo Dei Fiori and 5 minutes to the Pantheon! The room itself was everything my friend and I needed it to be - a place to rest our heads after a long day exploring. The bathroom was lovely and clean... More

We were visiting Rome in the height of tourist season, and as one will learn, Rome is very expensive. We found this hotel to be clean, the family who run it very friendly and helpful, and best of all the location was great. Very close to Campo de Fiori, it was an easy walk to many of the sites to... Albergo Sole is a very good hotel. The location was the best, right near Campo dei Fiori. The room was very spacious, and very nicely situated, adjacent to a courtyard. I dont remember if there was AC or even if breakfast is served but the service was good. And it was quiet. Not cheap but not excessively pricey.

Our family of 5 stayed here in July 2013. It was comfortable and safe. Nothing special, but perfectly in between the Colosseum and Vatican - which is what we were looking for. Our room was clean and had enough space. The price was reasonable. No breakfast, but again - good price. Parking available in the garage under the hotel -... More

Yet again I would like an intermediate rating of Good! The hotel is obviously family run, Mamma speaks no English (but why should she!?) but her sons etc. are very fluent and helpful. I had a single room which was very sparsely furnished with old fashioned odd bits and pieces and the bed and pillows were very solid, but the... More

Located near the wonderful Campo de Fiori Piazza, we enjoyed our 3 days/nights there wandering around Roman History. The rooms were nice enough we were a group of 4 and we each had our own bed. I thought they slept quite good (it could have been the grappa) We enjoyed the different little sitting rooms. The staff was very friendly... More

... that makes us - strangers from all over the world - love Rome. There are beautiful places to stay, but 2,500 years of tourism have led to a general price level that is at least in the travelling season (in Rome March-October) not affordable for those who travel with a limited budget. I booked the Albergo Sole because it... More
