Myself, my now hubby and our year old daughter stayed here for 1 week when we were getting married in the Irish college. What a great place to stay in. Allison was always helpful and even became our wedding photographer!!! All the staff are very friendly and it's really relaxing. Everything is within walking distance from the colosseum to the... The location of villa Irlanda is great. Close to the colosseum and piazza di san giovanni where bus 117 goes regularly from there to the termini passing close to the colosseum and the roman forum. The rooms are very clean and all have air conditioning. Toilets are spacious and free wifi is available. The women who works behind the desk... More

Villa Irlanda is a wonderful place to stay while in Rome. Because it's located on the grounds of the Irish seminary, English is the first language spoke by many personnel. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable, and air conditioned. Those staying in the cottages will have access to a kitchen and self-serve laundry. Although the city surrounds the compound,... More

Location was great. 5 minutes walk to the Coliseum, close to bus routes and Metro. Lovely room, excellent air conditioning, great service and advice from staff, simple continental breakfast with plenty of it and tea/coffee available for self service after returning from a hard day's sightseeing. Lovely pool available in the afternoons to refresh after that day's sightseeing. Great value.

Stayed here for 5 nights and would return again in a heartbeat. Secluded but central to main sites and bus tours. It is part of the Irish College where they train the priests, and you will meet some, but there is no pressure to attend the masses/ liturgies . They are advertised for your information but that is it. Rooms... More

Stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed every minute. Really centrally located and public transport very accessible. Manager and staff extremely pleasant and always helpful. Spent many weary hours sigthseeing with energetic teenager and very pleasant to come back to pleasant swim in the outdoor pool and relaxation before venturing out again to eat and see more attractions! Breakfast was... More

Being a family of five, we were able to rent, on a self catering basis, one of the three bedroomed cottages on the grounds of the villa Irlanda. Our friends stayed on a bed and breakfast basis in the Villa Irlanda itself. Our cottage complete with kitchen and sitting room and outside sitting area was prefect for our five days... More

As the others have said, this is a wonderful place to stay! The area is quiet and relaxing and yet is very centrally located. The Vatican, Spanish Steps, Colosseum and Forum are all within walking distance. The rooms are nicely decorated and the en-suites are very large. With tea and coffee facilities all day, what more could you wish for....... More

This accommodation is a hidden gem, a truly tranquil place in the heart of the bustling city! A five minute walk to the colosseum and five minute walk to the nearest underground station. A relatively big room, a substantial en-suite and tea and coffee making facilities any time if the day. What more could you want in Rome?? It's very... More

Love this place, safe & secure, very pretty and clean and inviting. Lemon and Orange trees pave the high walls surrounding the property, grounds itself stunning. Rooms basic but clean and cosy. Tea & Coffee making facilities very handy after a day of trecking around Rome. It was the perfect place to get married! Location absolutely perfect, Coloseum right on... More
