I booked on Priceline using name your own price. This was supposed to be a 4 star hotel but is, in fact, a 2 star hotel at best. For example: Only 1 person is on staff at the hotel and unable to accommodate a request, at 4pm in the afternoon, for an additional sheet and blanket. There one staff available... More

We arrived at the Termini Station on a T.A.M. bus from the Fiumicino Airport. It stops on the opposite side of the station from the hotel, so it’s a few minute walk through the station to the other side. Once outside, turn right, walk 50 metres and cross the road. It’s currently having a face-lift so we couldn’t see the... More

We stayed for just two nights at Aphrodite. The location is great (right across the road from the Termini station) but that does mean there is a lot of street noise (I know, it's Rome!). Our room was a corner room with massive windows in the bathroom that let the cold and the noise in. The bed was also pretty... More

Now we returned from Rome, and stayed at the hotel for four days. the location is excellent, right in front of Termini Station, there are restaurants near by, place great sandwiches prepared, supermarket, buses and metro station. The rooms are very clean and the standard of cleanliness very clean daily. The food in the dining room, delicious, has fresh fruits,... More

No iron,no electric kettle..and if we asked reception for these things they feel sorry that all the electric kettle are busy. Even hotel has no bell boy. So all the travelers who are planning to come be ready for self weight training. Dont know why its still a four star property..

On my first trip to Rome I wanted a hotel close to the train station as I would be walking. This hotel fits the bill perfectly being right across the street from the main terminal. Since my first trip they have upgraded their breakfast buffet and opened a roof top patio. Having used this hotel several times I have not... More

The only good thing about the hotel is the location otherwise hot small room, bed bugs we couldn't sleep all night due to ski natch, and several insects in the room moreover the bed blankets are dirty we had to put towels on top of the bed . Furthermore the wifi was really bad and barely connecting . To sum... More

You get off the train at termini, pulling your 2 bags, cross the road, walk 60 meters and there it is. You now have access to the Rome Metro, the Hop-on and off Buses, the local Rome buses, all the food and drink outlets at the station; and when you leave - directly over the road you can catch the... If you need a hotel near the station you are ok if you can find it we walked passed it three times as there was scaffolding outside and the sign was very dimly lit . The reception staff were extremely friendly and efficient especially Patricia who was very helpful in advising us about restaurants . Unfortunately this hotel states it... More

We stayed for 5 nights. Very convenient as its just opposite Termini Station. The Terravision airport transfer bus is also opposite and the hop on and off is just down the road. Very tasty and affordable food outlets are just a few doors away. You can also buy souvenirs next door. However, the homeless will start appearing at Termini Station... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
