We just had a delightful 3 night stay at For My Friends with our 2 children. Rome was hot, hot, hot but we had a lovely cool air-con room which we retreated to. It is very near- a few minutes walk- the vatican museums metro station on the A line so very convenient for all of the sights. The starfish... More

Matilde runs one of the best B&B we've found in our travels to Rome. Her accommodation is impeccable, clean and location is conveniently close to the Vatican, the open market and the Metro. Her breakfast is prepared with TLC. Most of all, Matilde is the most hospitable host we've encountered in Italy. She is helpful, informative and generous with her... More

My 3 teenage daughters, a friend an her daughter and I stayed here for one week the last week in June. Matilde was a gracious and accommodating host, pleasant to talk to and soooo helpful. She helped us book tickets to the Vatican museum and even a museum in Florence. The rooms were exactly as the pics show. The food... More

Stayed at For my Friends B&B on June 8th and absolutely loved it!. I was traveling with a female co-worker and felt super safe. We took three days vacation to enjoy Rome. The neighborhood is fantastic with great restaurants, shopping and walking distance to the metro and The Vatican. Matilde was an awesome host, she helped us with booking tickets... More

My husband and I stayed at this place for 4 nights and loved it. It is a very nice place and we took the smaller room that has the attached bathroom. It is a small room (as per American standards) but it faced a garden and was very quiet so we had very sound sleep. We liked it very much... More

Matilde's B &B is beautifully done up and she is very particular about the needs of her guests. We had a very comfortable and memorable stay. Matilde even booked our online tickets for the museum and was always there to extend every possible help. The breakfast was generous. The place is very close to the metro station which made sightseeing very... More

Mathilde runs a lovely bed and breakfast just minutes away from the Vatican. The place is located in a classic roman house with a nice inner garden. She organised everything you need for a comfortable stay in Rome, just of the busy roads in a quiet neighbour hood. The breakfast is extraordinary well catered for, the rooms are nice, clean,... My husband and I stayed at For My Friends for 2 weeks in May 2015. The rooms are immaculate and the hostess Mathilde is just right. She is always ready to be helpful and accommodating but never intrusive. Breakfast is delicious: cereal, eggs if you like, yogurt, jams, hot coffee, tea, cheeses, juice, toast and fresh fruits. This B&B is... More

My partner and I traveled to Rome for 5 nights in early September. This was our first visit to Rome and we chose this B&B for its location close to the Vatican Museums. Little did we know we had made one of the most outstanding choices of accommodation in 7 years of travel in Europe. The location is 3 or... More

I recently traveled to Rome with my 83-year-old father. We were looking for an apartment near the Vatican that was safe, clean, convenient, upscale and within walking distance of the metro, the Vatican, and restaurants. We got everything and more in this bed-and-breakfast. We were a five minute's walk away from the Vatican as well as the metro. A perfect... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
