well, as always, you get what you pay for... the room and hotel itself was better than I expected for a 3 star in a european big city, its was very clean and nice overall, and the breakfast was indeed plentiful (if you don't get sick of meat)... but its not very convenient. The metro is just around the corner,... more

The hotel was OK - but I can't get more excited about it than that. We stayed in a triple room and the 3rd bed was a pull out - comfy enough for a few nights, but maybe not if you had a bad back. The room was pretty small so it was a bit cramped. The bathroom was clean... more

We recently visited Rome and spent 3 evenings at Hotel San Guisto. We travelled with our friends. We admit, their room had an unusual door that appeared very unsecure, however, overall, the rooms were clean, affordable and convenient. The location was great, as it was around the corner from the Bologna metro station (line B), and also is at the... more

My husband and I made our first trip to Rome January 2005, we were greeted at the airport by a wonderful driver, (we booked our hotel transfers through expedia) He gave us a lot of helpful tips. When we got to the hotel, our room was not ready, we were told it would be ready in an hour so we... more

Hotel is average, with a clean room and a decent bathroom. Breakfasts are continental, and are buffet style. Excellent location for metro, and the residential piazza seems to be in a nice area with a few shops and restaurants and a supermarket nearby. HOWEVER, the concierge is rude, obnoxious and does not understand the meaning of customer service. Shame, as... more

My friend and I have just returned from visiting Rome for the first time and I dare say it could be the last. Having paid £160 for 3 nights in a twin room we weren't expecting too much and boy were we right !! We arrived at the San Giusto hotel at 1.00pm exhausted having been travelling since 5.00am and... more

My sister and I used hotwire and got a reservation for this hotel June 10-13 and June 24. The price was great for Rome at $105/night in busy season. The location is not in the middle of things, but very conveniently located near a metro stop, so it's easy to get anywhere for 1 euro. The metro closes before midnight,... more

I can't complain too much about San Giusto because it was cheap in comparison to other hotels in Rome. However, because it was cheap, you can't expect to have luxury service or big rooms. In comparison to other 3-star hotels in Italy, SG was more like 2.5 star. But they're in Rome after all. The location is convenient if you're... more

There is no way this is a 3 star hotel. There wasn't even tissue or soap. The rooms are very tiny of course, the AC is ancient but did work. There are no plugs, they're so ancient you can't use them. Rotary dial phone, you can't use. The staff was friendly enough but not helpful or able to put through... more

Stayed here for three nights. Rooms were clean and fair size. We had two double rooms (only paid for single rooms) on the sixth floor which were quiet and on a veranda which you could sit out on. The breakfast was good with a fair selection. The chocolate croissents were good. We found the hotel staff friendly enough. The metro... more
