I booked on line as a second choice, my first choice was booked full, I am glad I did. The hotel is located on a quiet street near Porto Pio. It is a short walk to many sights of old Rome. My room was quiet and the air conditioning was more than adequate. The mattress was comfortable and I had... More

I stated here for a week whilst exploring Rome with my family. We had two rooms that were both clean and well decorated with functional bathrooms, the whole place looks like it has been decorated pretty recently. Metro at republics is close by, termini station easy to get too, good restaurants near by, walk to the sights or get the... More

I chose this hotel through an expedite booking and was very happy I did. Lovely building. Very welcoming staff. The continental breakfast offers a great choice. The twin room was great size. One little pointto mention is that the beds are very firm so if you like a soft mattress you might find it uncomfortable. I suited me though. The... More

Stayed for a 2 day business trip. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Hotel is on a charming street near many of the famous sights. Local neighborhood was authentic Rome with locals visiting their daily breakfast and ice cream shops. Rooms are clean but sparse. Bathroom was perfect. WiFi was free and excellent. Mini bar was well stocked. Common areas are... More

I stayed at Hotel Medici for five nights this June, and I have nothing bad to say about it. I booked a single room, which was not at all as cramped as one might have thought. Hardwood floors in the room and lovely tiles in the bathroom (which was large; it even had its own window). This was room 128... More

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Medici hotel in Rome. The hotel is in a great location - near the main station and with lots of good restaurants nearby. We arrived late due to our flight but the check in was straight forward. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We’d booked a small double... More

pleasant hotel and nice staff, comfortable and well equipped rooms with aircon. location is 10 min walk from the central station, and a nice 15-20 minute walk to some of the attractions. sadly the breakfast is not particularly nutritious or healthy, and it's a huge shame that i slept dreadfully for all five nights due to noise from other guests..... I will be checking out today from a three-night stay at Hotel Medici in Rome. I am pleased to recommend Hotel Medici for its friendly multilingual staff, comfortable and relatively spacious rooms, and excellent location (just a ten minute walk to the nearest Metro station, and a few minutes more to the Termini Station). The breakfast was convenient and sufficient... More

We stayed here last night and were very impressed with the value for money. We booked a large double so as to have space for our son's portacot. I think other reviewers complaining about room size is a bit unfair as the website clearly lists large or small double. This hotel is very good value for money, the staff we... More

A reliable place where rooms are neat and clean, cosy indoor terrace, wonderful restaurant just opposite; well-situated, easy access to metro and quick walk to central Rome in a nice, calm area. Staff are a bit stiff, but very helpful, very reasonable price. Breakfast is not great but nice bars just round the corner to taste delicious bakery and coffee.... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
