During the weekend of December 19th 2014 we had a most enjoyable stay at the grand plaza. This was a special weekend as we brought over 30 co workers to Rome . The staff of this hotel was exceptional friendly and cooperative to make this weekend into a AAmezing one. We would recommend this hotel to anyone , private or... More

Historical hotel with amazing decorations located at one of most popular area in Rome, very convenient for shopping and dining. Pretty big and clean room which is hard to find while traveling in Europe. Friendly staffs with excellent services and great breakfast, by the way. Free wifi provided but connection was not stable while walking around the room. Due to... More

Stayed in the hotel from 9th to 14th. the hotel location is great.....right in the City Centre and on a shopping street. I was amazed to find a charge for airport transfer of 75 euros which when I asked, the staff was not willing to discuss. front office staff are particularly not courteous with specific guest issues. Robbed of 75... More

Let me start with the positive: Location is the best ever - walking distance to almost everything and in the middle of the shopping area. The hotel is like living in a museum - really nice! Negative is everything else especially that the staff is not educated to provide service as a 4-5 star hotel afford. Some of the staff... More

I've read the reviews from others. The issue is: this is a great hotel and a 5 star in the US is way different in Europe. Get with the times people. Don't listen to those that don't travel often. The hotel was very clean. People were friendly. The sitting area was very beautiful and I enjoyed relaxing in the bar... More

The location is great, but the hotel..... Where to start... The receptionist desk. The attitude, very rude and not helpful. We made reservations 3 months ago for two rooms next to each other and we got two rooms very far from one another. And said NOT THEIR PROBLEM! Bathroom, the shower head broken! In other word the only good thing... More

The wife and I stayed here for 7 nights as our original hotel had closed due to water issues. Hotel location is fantastic and you are walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to see in Rome. The staff at reception were very helpful and informative. Now the rooms look very dated and I have stayed in 3... More

The hotels in Europe are usually under the standards of USA and Far East. You should not expect too much from the hotels. The rooms are smaller, the general conditions are worn-out, the service is so so...You should care about the location of the hotel. This hotel is a typical example of it. The location is great. The most of... More

Classic grand hotel located near the Spanish Steps. Comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast buffet served in a beautiful dining room. Great service - thanks to manager Piero and his outstanding staff. SUSAN P.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
