This is supposedly a 5* hotel. However, I have struggled to understand why and how this was ever awarded to such a mediocre hotel... Don't let the ground floor deceive you. It looks very stunning and is actually very nice inside. The location of the hotel is perfect. Right in the centre of Rome. Unfortunately however, the rooms lack any... More

I wanted to organise a trip to Rome for my 80year old mother as it was her wish to go. She had never been. We chose the Plaza for its location and 5 star experience . We arrive at 8pm having travelled from London to be told that the rooms we paid for 4 months ago are not available. Not... More

The location of the hotel is a five star, walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to see in Rome, else the location i can sum up the whole experience as 0 star (I have detailed below our experience and will send you some of the photos via whats app on your mobile number). The room smelled dusty,... More

The hotel is in a central location, and easy to get around- however they do not hold a five star rating as advertised - the rooms are small and stuffy and the bathrooms are old with a small space - if you are looking for a five star hotel, his hotel is not for you - the hotel proves decent... When we checked into the room at 1pm,the AC wasn't working. We told the front desk and they said they would get it fixed. At 11pm it still wasn't fixed so we had a very uncomfortable night as it was very hot in Rome in June. Also, the room was small and the bed was small and uncomfortable for two people.When... More

Rome is a special city for me and I want top ensure I am staying somewhere close to the vibrant centre but not squashed into some pensione. Facilities are those of a good 5 star hotel, rooms are clean and luxurious ( go for a terrace if possible). Staff friendly and courteous.

So we were really looking forward to our Rome visit and all prepared to stay in a 5 star hotel(whatever we could comprehend from the details and photos made us quite excited). Honestly, it was a big disappointment. The corridors are really shabby, almost like that of a lodge. The room is tiny and has cracks in the wall(I mean... More

We stayed two nights during our honeymoon in Italy, and this was an amazing hotel. central and beautiful. Our room was grand, clean and very comfortable, big plus for the big shower and balcony, fresh and clean bathroom. Couldn't have asked or wished for more :) Enjoyed the rooftop bar and nice breakfast. Small minus for short bed. would highly... More

Architecturally this hotel is absolutely beautiful, stunning classic design that wraps around you. If like myself you prefer to stay in a hotel that has a flavour of culture of the city you are staying in then you will not be disappointed. Secondly the location of the hotel is superb, with the majority of historic sites within easy walking distance... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
