We returned to Rome after spending six days in the Greek islands, and since we had stayed in Rome on our way to Greece at another property in Rome, next to the Spanish steps ( I also reviewed that Hotel) we had seen the Plaza and its great location, thus when we booked our return Hotel to Rome, we thought... The breakfast manager Piero was of great help and service My five year old son was very tired and I had to carry him around the city while shopping and sightseeing. Piero offered me a stroller to borrow from the hotel. this saved my holiday. thank you very much for a great stay

Very disappointing. On arrival the staff were less than friendly and seemed to be happy chatting amongst each other and making you wait. The rooms were tired and in desperate need of attention. The internet was slow and connection would frequently drop out. The grand hall was very beautiful and probably the best feature of the hotel. Breakfast was very... More

There are only two things that are good about this hotel. The first is location. It is within walking distance to everything a tourist wants to see. The other is their truly magnificent lounge area. It has that grand Roman feel that is unique. But that's it. The hotel is under-staffed. The food is stale. The furniture feels like it... More

Stayed for family holiday for five days. Wifi was perfect and free, but despite we have booked a family suite we ended up in a suite with two double beds to share. Old style with character of its own but expected the mini bar to contain something more than a coke and a bottle of water with gas for two... More

After reading some of the comments about this Hotel I was a bit apprehensive about staying here especially some of the comments regarding miserable rude staff. I was staying here with my sister and we both said that the staff were all, without exception very polite, helpful and professional at all times. The deluxe room was very spacious, clean and... The location of the Grand Plaza is great (close to the Via Condotti, Piazza del Popolo). I can imagine that back in the 19th century when it opened, it must have been amazing to stay here: beautiful grand interieurs. Unfortunately it feels like since then they haven't done a lot to keep this 'grandeur'. Everything is a bit old and... More

We recently stayed at this hotel (a party of 3 and a party of 2), and were extremely disappointed. The desk was understaffed and confused. Requests were ignored - e.g. one of only 2 lightbulbs in our bathroom had blown, and despite requests was not replaced. The concierge desk was never manned during our stay. Although the old public rooms... More

A wonderful hotel to anyone who wants to make from a trip to Rome a perfect time. The hotel's beauty is indescribable - is overwhelming. For everywhere we look there is refinement, beauty and art ... the well-being I felt in the main room far surpassed the pleasure of visiting some museums and monuments. The entire staff is incredibly friendly... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
