In February we booked a room for 4 days, nice experience. Got a confirmation notice two weeks prior to our planned stay, all good. PROBLEM - We arrived after 23 hours of travel with very little sleep on Sunday August 17th around noon. The hotel was CLOSED!!! No notice, nothing. Looking in the window it was clear that construction work... More

The hotel location could not be better for sightseeing! A stone's throw away from the Spanish Steps, meaning that most sights are within walking distance. The rooms are spacious and clean, the only criticism I would have is that the rooms do smell of smoke and there was a problem with the water pressure on one of the morning's during... More

Excellent location, near to the metro Spagna station, the front desk service were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good, the proximity to the metro station, spanish steps and restaurants made our trip ease and more pleasant. We stay here for 5 night and we definitely stay here again.

Hotel room was so hot with no fan or aircon, bed a rock, shower shocking, average breakfast, staff at desk were so arrogant, looked disinterested and gave very poor service. There is no way I would go back!!

We stayed at the Hotel Internazionale in 2006 and had a very good experience. Our most recent stay earlier this month was less so. Perhaps it was our fault. Trying to relive a good experience is likely going to disappoint. In 2006 we had a wonderful courtyard room in the SE corner of the top floor of the hotel. This... More

Stayed 3 nights at what was suppose to be a 4star hotel. Only good feature is the location. Small, unclean room, no AC, noise from the street was too much, WiFi never worked, staff was unfriendly and not very helpful, found the reception clerk smoking in a smoke free hotel, and many more negatives. The roof terrace was scary to... More

We stayed here for 4 days, we had a comfortable room, clean bedding, comfy bed, shower strong enough to to take your skin off. Room facing a court yard, only a very small window if you tend to claustrophobia, but very quiet, whilst in such a busy area. Breakfast good, continental plus fruit, scrambled eggs and bacon. lift smelled a... More

We tried 3 rooms and all had problems - lumpy pillows, bad mattresses, broken fixtures in the bathrooms, musty dank odor in rooms, noise coming from center well area all night sounding like tennis balls and belt buckles in a dryer, no exhaust fan in bathroom, mold. In one room the tub leaked from underneath; a towel had been put... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
