hotel was clean and rooms attractive. Also has hostel rooms so plenty of jovial boistrous drunk youth. Front desk helpful but harried. No lobby, rooftop patio nice idea but not really comfortable. Basic metal tables and chairs and a few plants. Calling it a garden is a stretch...

Located in the city center, close to city sights, clean hotel. Helpful and sincere staff, Good breakfast. Only problem walls are too thin, do not prevent the noise coming from next room and poor wifi.

We last stayed at Hotel Des Artistes about 5 years ago and I'll definitely book again in future. The location is perfect, the staff very friendly and accommodating (with excellent English skills, unlike my Italian!) and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Thank you

Just had three nights at this hotel. Very nice room and fantastic staff, only problem is they also do budget accommodation here to, which means it can be a little noisy with the younger ones staying here. This would not stop me staying here again. Special thanks to helpful reception staff.

it was a nice place in budget. The facilities were clean and neat. The staff was very helpful and it near to the terimini station and best spot for the perfect rome trip. only disadvantage is paid wifi, where many hostels and hotels provide free wifi. the pamphlets provided by them are of great use and appreciable. So Budget people,... More

I went there in September last year and I must say this hotel is awesome! The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the people working at the front desk are truly there for you to enjoy your time. The hotel is located within walking distance to Termini train station which makes it really easy for people who... More

My daughter stayed here March 16 and found the accommodations to be excellent and the staff extremely helpful. When she lost a precious necklace, they helped look around the hotel for it. When she needed to get to the train station, they gave her a ride. In general, they looked out for her and took care of her. We would... More

Very disappointed with this hotel. Saw the ratings and reviews on trip advisor and thought it was a nice standard hotel. While the hotel was clean that's where the positives end. Location - close to train and metro stop. While this is usually a good thing. It was a half hour walk to city center and not the best part... More

I hate to compete with "Captain Obvious", but it bears mentioning there are two (2) TRAIN STATIONS in Rome. Tiburtina Station in north-east Rome is where our high speed train arrived, and the taxi fare was a reasonable 10 euro with bags. It was rather ironic to drive past the Termini Station on the way to our hotel (booked by... More

Stayed here in January with my beautiful wife, what an amazing place it was, very clean, rooms cleaned and bed made every day. Breakfast was buffet style and was of a good quality. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
