I really enjoyed our stay in Rome at the Hotel Des Artistes. The three things I look for in a hotel room where all fulfilled and then some. The bed must be comfortable and firm, the curtains block out light well, and the shower pressure should be good. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. The only... More

Our stay at hotel des artistes was average, no serious complaints but at the same time no massive compliments. Upon arrival we were told wifi for the entire stay was 5 euros, very reasonable, but only once we'd purchased this were we told it could only be used on one device (my partners) so we'd have to pay again us... just back from a 7 day trip to Rome with my wife and granddaughter. We stayed in the Hotel Des Artistes on a bed and breakfast basis. We could not fault this hotel in any way. It is a 3 star hotel with a lot going for it. It is very close to the Metro, the room was very clean... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights for 35 euros a night, a very cheap price, and the room we were put in large and very comfortable. the bed was big, the TV was huge, and the wifi is great. Although there is no air conditioning, there is a very good fan in each room along with a... More

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, everything was fine, except dust on fan on the ceiling, breakfast was not included, but there are numerous cafes around hotel. Hotel is in the very city center, 5-7 minutes from Termini station.

Location is great, couple of minute walk to termini so its a great hub. Don't expect over the top service as we had a wee problem that we needed help with. Most of the staff didnt really want anything to do with us, I found and always felt that what happened was our fault ( they denied a package meant... More

We stayed in this hotel last November for 2 nights before our cruise. It offered very good value for travelers who just wanted a quiet clean room with nothing fancy. We like it because it was not expensive, smoke-free, and close to restaurants and the bus terminal. We will definitely stay there if we visit Rome again.

This hotel is close to Termini station which was nice after taking the Leonardo Express in from the airport. We walked from the station to the hotel. Close - but also a little tricky with rolling bags. The check in process was easy and they locked up our bags for us while finishing getting our room ready. We went to... More

We stayed Hotel Des Artistes after a very enjoyable cruise so it had a lot to live up to. We couldn't fault the welcome and general service and the hotel offered very good value for money. The room was very acceptable and the location close to Termini station was ideal. We would definitely return on another visit to Rome. The... More

We stayed here for three nights whilst sightseeing in Rome and the hotel was fine. It may seem quite pricy but compared to a lot of other hotels in Rome it is actually pretty good value. The breakfast wasn't included in the price and was €8 so we didn't bother with this but there is a very cheap little cafe... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
