This old-fashioned hotel could be a good alternative if you do not require to much to be happy. Good bedroom for a nice sleep. The old infrastructure could be revitalized. I spent only one night in the hotel, during a a fast connection on a business trip. 5 blocks from Termini Stazioni made my access easy to entire city. The... More

After all the trouble the got us in, claiming they could not charge our credit card and sendind and receiving e-mail for 6 weeks, many calls and appointments at the bank, we found out they couldn't charge it because they were trying to charge a wrong card. They didn't have they decency to apologize. I would never recommend this hotel... More

Can't think of anything bad to say about this place, the room was very clean, older but very nice, the breakfast was delicious, staff were all great to deal with. Its a 6 minute walk from Termini train station and a 1 minute walk from the Metro, so getting around from here is very easy.

A wonderful, unexpected find. Our room with private bath was affordable, squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast included eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, fresh bread. Everything was fresh and delicious and we had a beautiful start to our day in Rome. We will be sure to return and will recommend it to all of our friends.

Love the location! Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. They have good security system. Their lift do get busy during the day - especially during breakfast time. I like how they have maps ready with directions on how to get to popular places. The neighborhood has restaurants from pizzeria to gelatos! Will stay here again!

This was an excellent hotel for our short stay in Rome. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Shared bathroom were not as big as hassle as we had thought (though we were right next to one) and the room has a sink. Location was a bonus as it's 2 min from a metro station (B -... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
