A wonderful, unexpected find. Our room with private bath was affordable, squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. The breakfast included eggs, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, fresh bread. Everything was fresh and delicious and we had a beautiful start to our day in Rome. We will be sure to return and will recommend it to all of our friends.

Love the location! Stayed here for 4 nights. Staff were friendly. Rooms were clean. They have good security system. Their lift do get busy during the day - especially during breakfast time. I like how they have maps ready with directions on how to get to popular places. The neighborhood has restaurants from pizzeria to gelatos! Will stay here again!

This was an excellent hotel for our short stay in Rome. The room was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Shared bathroom were not as big as hassle as we had thought (though we were right next to one) and the room has a sink. Location was a bonus as it's 2 min from a metro station (B -... More

Location: Great, just a short walk from Roma Termini station Cleanliness: Tip Top Condition: Tip Top (Very New) Pantry: Come with a microwave and kettle but faulty vending machine. Wifi: Not consistent but it's free so ... Staff: All are ok except one black-hair guy who nearly killed me with his F-off attitude when I asked him if there is... More

The people at the reception were really nice and helpful, the room was alright and very good price/quality of it, it had the window on an intern court so it was really calm! Even if the bathroom/shower isn't in the room it was really clean ! The Hotel is situated on the right spot (calm and clean) next to Termini... More

The hotel is in a quiet area with and easy level walk of under 10 minutes from Termini station with its train, bus and metro links It could have been a poor start as we were not actually booked here having been transferred from the booked hotel. However we were made very welcome and had a spacious quiet and pleasantly... More

Me and my boyfriend arrived at the hotel on the 19th Nov and left yesterday. Was amazed at how clean it was. Location was literally a five minute walk from Termini station. Breakfast was a continental style buffet breakfast. The room was large in size and clean. Sheets and towels were changed daily although towels taken the day before we... More

My husband and I recently stayed at Hotel des Artistes during a three-day stay in Rome. The hotel is located near the train station which was very convenient for us, as we were coming in from Florence by train. In fact, we were able to easily walk from the station to the hotel with our luggage. Our room was ready... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
