Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights at the end of June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The staff are absolutely fantastic, so helpful and always willing to go the extra mile! The hotel is very clean and the roof top terrace is perfect for a relaxing drink or starting the day by eating breakfast up there. It... More

Originally had to cancel reservation due to a death in the family and rebooked 2 weeks later. The staff were so helpful and were able to move our reservation without penalty. When we arrived they had upgraded us to a room with a private terrace! I can't say enough about this hotel and it's location. Close to everything, shops, restaurants,... More

What an amazing find. The location was perfect so clean and fantastic and helpful staff. Perfect for metro, trains, buses, bars and eateries. Perfect will definitely be back. The staff were so helpful and gave out local maps which were really fab. The lovely roof bar was really nice to have a sun- downer and a late night coffee and... More

I had higher expectations after reading other reviews. The room was average, the bed was very hard, the bathroom very dated. The neighborhood is okay, small shops and mediocre restaurants are nearby. Its nearby to Termini station

The staff is wonderful. They were all very friendly and helpful. I loved the close proximity to Termini and other small shops. Located fairly close to the Colosseum (20 min walk). The room's AC was not turned on (apparently Roman Law does not allow AC in April??). The room was the smallest out of all of the Italian hotels that... More

This was an adequate hotel, nothing fancy, located within walking distance to attractions, restaurants and train. The rooms were clean and quite basic. The internet (free in your room) was extremely slow and not very good most of the time. There is a breakfast room with a fair selection. The front desk staff are pleasant but staffed by one person... The staff at this hotel are very kind, helpful and welcoming.( I had disappointing and scary experience with the taxi driver from Termini. He drove me far from the hotel and I called the hotel from inside the cab. Daniel, at the front desk yelled at the driver to bring me back. The driver put me out of his cab... More

The front desk staff at Hotel Columbia was awesome. They made our stay simple and fun. The room comes with a complimentary breakfast, which was a great way to start the morning. In the evening the breakfast room serves beer, wine and snacks on the deck. They are all at reasonable prices, especially considering it is Rome. The rooms are large... More

We had a fantastic time at the Hotel Columbia. All the staff there are really really friendly and incredibly helpful. We celebrated our wedding anniversary while we were there and were made a lovely fuss of. Daniel even recommended a wonderful restaurant for us to celebrate at and it was a brilliant suggestion. So much so that we returned there... More

My husband and I recently stayed at hotel Columbia while in Rome. We found our room to be lovely. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Good internet connection also. The hotel is in a good location not far from the metro station. There are several restaurants within walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
