The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The rooms are very clean. The hotel is perfect for groups. Breakfast has plenty of options. The bathrooms are decently sized. I will definitely come here again and recommend to all of my friends.

I studied Italian in Rome for three weeks with my college Italian class. Our professor booked Hotel Columbia, since she had issues with her previous hotel. She made a great choice! Hotel Columbia was the perfect place for 12 students to stay. The rooms were a little small, but we're used to dorm rooms and worked with it. The facilities... More

The staff at Hotel Columbia are really amazing. Extremely friendly and very helpful if you have any questions or requests. The hotel is situated in a very central location. Very easy walking distances to train stations and bus stops. Many restaurants are also located close by. Our rooms were fairly decent and we were mostly satisfied. Our room was slightly... More

This was our 6th trip to Roma and our fifth stay at this charming family run hotel and will not be our last! We were upgraded to a superior room with its own balcony which was lovely especially as it was unusually mild for the time of year. All of the staff were wonderful as always and the location of... The hotel is very well located, 2 min walk from Termini station and close to main tourist attractions. Rooms are tastefully decorated. The absolute standout for us were the staff - from breakfast waitress to the receptionists and management - everyone was absolutely fantastic! So knowledgeable, speaking great English, faultless service and so professional! I would definitely recommend it !... More

We visited Rome as 5 couples aged around 50, everybody returning at a different date. We all believe we had a great stay at Hotel Columbia. The reservations team and the reception were both very efficient and very warm. The rooms were quite comfortable. The breakfast room was a cozy, homelike space with a nice terrace and the coffe and... More

If we come back to Roma, we'll come back to Hotel Columbia. The staff is very nice, helpful and available. We realy thanks them. The room was very clean and cosy, the breakfast perfect. Excellent location, close to the station termini, only 10-15 min walk to the Colosseum and 5 min from the Metro Republica. There is a bagage room... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
