My husband and I stayed at hotel Memphis recently after he booked it for a birthday surprise. We arrived to Termini station and took a taxi from there to the hotel which cost €10. Upon seeing the hotel for the first time we were a little taken aback, it is down a very tiny side street and you might miss... More

Small (if that is what boutique means) hotel located steps from Trevi fountain and lots of great shopping (the January sales were bananas!). Pantheon is also close, Borghese, Coloseo, we walked everywhere from the hotel and didnt use the subway once. The room was not noisy although above the narrow street where the front door to the hotel is and... More

Highly recommendable on its location. It's very central. Room was lovely. I felt that it was spacious for the two of us. There is a safe in the room which is useful. Good quality tv and refrigerator. The bathroom was clean. Shower was small and the shower head needed to be cleaned from the start of our stay. Due to... More

Recently spent 10 wonderful days in Rome at the Hotel Memphis. Location is fantastic, close to major attractions and Metro. Staff are so friendly and really make you feel at home, they go out of their way to help. Room was always kept clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the manager Roberto and all... More

I love this hotel. It's my third stay here and as everyone says - you can't beat the location. Trevi Fountain is three minutes' walk at sunrise or late at night (about 8 min with crowds). The Spanish Steps - same. Piazza del Popolo is 15 minutes. The Borghese Gardens about 15 min as well. Despite its proximity to everything... More

My parents, my fiancee, and I booked two rooms for three nights from December 27-30. We had never stayed at the Hotel Memphis before. We had booked this hotel due to price and location. It outlived every one of our expectations. I have categorized all possible pertinent information, so I hope you do read on. Simply put, this hotel was... More

The location of this hotel is AWESOME! If it weren't for the rudeness of the staff, particularly the receptionist, I would give 4 or 5 stars. The receptionist had quite the attitude with me and my wife and it sort of put a cloud on an otherwise great trip to Rome for the New Year.

We arrived on Christmas celebrations. Why this hotel is so worth getting to - Above all - unbeatable location! Close to all the main attractions. Rooms are very small but sufficient. Reasonable breakfast. The staff is charming and friendly. Happy to help with anything. We celebrated our wedding anniversary and they upgraded us to a room with a balcony. Great... More

The convenient location makes it very easy to navigate your way around Rome since it is very close to a metro station and the tourist buses. The staff is very friendly, their breakfast is a great way to start the day and the beds are comfortable! My favorite part is the bathroom....love the rain shower!

I have just returned from a fabulous time in Rome. We stayed at the Hotel Memphis for 3 nights. Upon check-in we received a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist, who was more than happy to answer any questions that we had. She also provided us with a map of the city and circled where the hotel is so it... More

Staying in Trevi

Neighborhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighborhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
