I booked this hotel because all of the hotels I like in Rome were full. Bailey's was not my first choice because of its bad trip advisor reviews (I like to stay at hotels that have at least 90% positive reviews and a solid 5 rating). Still, I couldn't find another hotel without negative comments for the dates I needed.... More

My partner and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Bailey's and I would sum it up as per the title. The hotel is in a quiet location and this suited us just fine. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Spanish Steps and 5 - 7 minutes from the nearest Metro station. We arrived... More

I had high hopes for this hotel. Many reviews were excellent and the hotel photos looked fairly nice. We arrived late on a Friday night and the front desk worker was rude. I don't think it was anything directed at us; his demeanor was very abrupt and careless each time we interacted with him. The room was big for Europe;... More

We had booked a deluxe room here for one night, but when we arrived, the hotel gave an excuse that somebody in the room had been robbed and that the guests in our room could not move out. They had no other free rooms available. They did not want to enter into any kind of discussion and clearly were overbooked... More

Getting to the hotel was slightly confusing for the taxi driver as he was unsure of the location, however upon arrival we were greeted by friendly Reception staff. Although we arrived earlier then we could check in we were allowed access to our rooms - the room was lovely - beautifully decorated with enough space to break open our cases... More

Fabulous little hotel, Yes it is a walk from the centre, yes the bar area is very small, yes the lift can be a little slow, HOWEVER! Myself and partner wanted to spend time together and loved this little place. We were in Italy for a wedding and stayed here for 4 nights, it was fantastic. A true gem I... More

A very good hotel, with an excellent structure. Rooms with Internet service and cable TV. It's not far from historical centre.

A good standard of hotel, which is small and personal. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Not very roomy as expected in Rome. Breakfast was great. They had internet access in the lobby. There did not seem to be a restaurant bar, but on New Years Eve we asked for a bottle of wine. They sent a wonderful red with... More

I stayed in Baileys with my husband for 4 days in May. I'll try and list some of the pros and cons here... Pros Clean and quiet hotel Pleasant buffet breakfast area - fruit juice, cereal, pastries or bread rolls and cheese probably your best bet - there are also biscuits and cake! service fast, tea coffee or capuccino served.... Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
