I picked this hotel just because of the reviews and all the good ones are correct. We were welcomed in a very warm and welcome way and were happy to find we got an unexpected upgrade to our room. How welcome is that? Yes, the hotel is immaculately clean. Yes, the staff is extremely friendly and will go out of... More

Central location, nice size room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size clean bathroom. Free wifi, good channels on the TV. Love this hotel, very easy to get around. Good eateries close by. Not too far from tone of the main stations. Easy walking distance to the Spanish Steps.

We have just returned from our second trip to Rome where we had the pleasure of staying for the second time on Bailey's Hotel. The hotel itself is really nice and personally I love the decor. The location is also great. It is outside of the historic center so you don't have crowded streets and the restaurants cater to locals... More

Hotel was in a great location, near the train station but not too close. A few mins walk away from the city centre and with plenty of shopping and restaurants/bar options a bit away from the main touristy attraction. Rooms would benefit from some refurbishment but were very quite and spacious. Wifi was not great so if you need to... More

hotel situated in a non touristy area surrounded by small restaurants and take away shops. Easy 2 stop bus ride into centre or short walk, on a previous visit we stayed in a hotel closer to the Termini and felt vulnerable when returning to hotel after dark. Staff at The Baileys Hotel could not be more helpful advising on best... More

First room we were allocated was really small with no windows and temperature too hot. Air con couldn't be adjusted to cool the room. Boyfriend complained and to be fair they did move us to a larger room. Window couldn't be opened. Breakfast ok but again you were in an area of the hotel without any windows. Having said that... Good place to stay, within walking distance of most major sites, clean, friendly staff, breakfast excellent, some very nice restaurants only a couple of minutes away. Would stay there again , but didn't really enjoy Rome itself so not likely to return

My friend and I stayed here because it was part of a package deal. It worked out great. The location was within walking distance to the train station and metro stops. Our hotelier was very helpful in giving us highlights of the city and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again!

Located on the north-eastern side of Rome, near to the Villa Borghese, this is a lovely hotel with easy access to all parts of Rome. Very friendly and helpful staff, with English-style sense of humour, Fabbio and all others couldn't do more to help us. Rooms are clean, spacious, posh bathrooms, slippers and dressing gowns. Breakfast is what you'd expect... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
