My wife and I have just returned from 3 fabulous days in Rome, and we don't really care how many stars the hotel has, just whether or not it's clean, comfortable, and fit for purpose. I'd read many reviews, including the negative ones ( which mostly appear to be from people with the smallest available room ) but I must... More

Comfortable and clean. Staff discrete courteous and friendly. What more do you want!!! We had the misfortune to lose our room safe key in the vatican secuirity x-ray machine ( an act of God? ) and they replaced it with no fuss and no charge. A bigger hotel may have charged me a lot. Breakfast was yummy! we ate far... More

From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Gerard (manager) and the service continues to be excellent for the 3 nights we stayed. The hotel is small but not too much so. There are marble floors and high ceilings. Bedrooms are to a high standard and include a safe. In terms of location there is an abundance... More

First I would like to say that there are 3 gross inaccuracies on the Bailey’s Hotel website. Firstly, it is NOT a 4 star hotel and luxury is not a word I would use to describe this property. Maybe a nice 3 star but definitely not a 4. There is not a concierge, let alone a 24 hour a day... More

I loved the charm of this hotel; very pretty and free drink at the bar upon your arrival. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They recommended how to get around the city to all the big tourist sites as well as suggest other places worth visiting. The location is convenient to the subway system. The breakfast was descent. I... More

I picked this hotel just because of the reviews and all the good ones are correct. We were welcomed in a very warm and welcome way and were happy to find we got an unexpected upgrade to our room. How welcome is that? Yes, the hotel is immaculately clean. Yes, the staff is extremely friendly and will go out of... More

Central location, nice size room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good size clean bathroom. Free wifi, good channels on the TV. Love this hotel, very easy to get around. Good eateries close by. Not too far from tone of the main stations. Easy walking distance to the Spanish Steps.

We have just returned from our second trip to Rome where we had the pleasure of staying for the second time on Bailey's Hotel. The hotel itself is really nice and personally I love the decor. The location is also great. It is outside of the historic center so you don't have crowded streets and the restaurants cater to locals... More

Hotel was in a great location, near the train station but not too close. A few mins walk away from the city centre and with plenty of shopping and restaurants/bar options a bit away from the main touristy attraction. Rooms would benefit from some refurbishment but were very quite and spacious. Wifi was not great so if you need to... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
