hotel situated in a non touristy area surrounded by small restaurants and take away shops. Easy 2 stop bus ride into centre or short walk, on a previous visit we stayed in a hotel closer to the Termini and felt vulnerable when returning to hotel after dark. Staff at The Baileys Hotel could not be more helpful advising on best... More

First room we were allocated was really small with no windows and temperature too hot. Air con couldn't be adjusted to cool the room. Boyfriend complained and to be fair they did move us to a larger room. Window couldn't be opened. Breakfast ok but again you were in an area of the hotel without any windows. Having said that... Good place to stay, within walking distance of most major sites, clean, friendly staff, breakfast excellent, some very nice restaurants only a couple of minutes away. Would stay there again , but didn't really enjoy Rome itself so not likely to return

My friend and I stayed here because it was part of a package deal. It worked out great. The location was within walking distance to the train station and metro stops. Our hotelier was very helpful in giving us highlights of the city and the breakfast was great. Would definitely stay there again!

Located on the north-eastern side of Rome, near to the Villa Borghese, this is a lovely hotel with easy access to all parts of Rome. Very friendly and helpful staff, with English-style sense of humour, Fabbio and all others couldn't do more to help us. Rooms are clean, spacious, posh bathrooms, slippers and dressing gowns. Breakfast is what you'd expect... More

If you need a base from which to visit the sites of Rome then you could do a lot worse than Baileys. Within walking distance of the Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain and just a 10 minute walk from the nearest Metro it is ideally located. In addition there are plenty of restaurants and eateries in the surrounding streets. We... More

The hotel is on the outskirts of the city, it is a good 15 minute walk to any site. We were told at check-in that we were given an upgraded room. The room felt old and the shower was difficult to get a constant temp., the bed gave me a terrible backache the first night. Draining in the sink and... More

We stayed in Rome for 3 nights, booked The Bailey's because the price was reasonable and the reviews were good. We were welcomed by Girard who was incredibly friendly, and very helpful giving suggestions on where to eat, what to see and what to do. Our room was clean and a decent size. The bed was two smaller beds pushed... More

We spent four nights at this hotel in October. Our room was 301 it was quite dark and overlooked a very small courtyard which formed the back of several buildings so not pretty at all, however this did mean that it was wonderfully quiet and we had uninterrupted sleep all the time we stayed. The room itself was comfortable and... More

the staff was friendly and helpful for our visit. The rooms are very cute and comfortable. The place is clean. A safe place for the family. We can't say enough about how helpful the staff is here. They called taxi, made hotel reservations, and gave us touring recommendations.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
