I recently booked La Griffe Roma for myself and a friend for 5 nights and it did not disappoint. We found the classic twin room clean and quite spacious (we were able to open our two large suitcases easily which was a definite plus!). Location-wise, the hotel is about a 20-30 minute stroll to major attractions (for poor navigators like... More

Just returned from a long weekend in rome for our anniversary. This was supposed to be a full 5 star treat for me and my wife. We found the hotel failing this rating in all areas. We would would do say 3 stars at the most. Our room was 3 hours late for us to access. We were offered a... More

We stayed here for 10 days during February on half board, we booked a superior room and weren't disappointed. On check in which was very late the receptionist provided entertainment in his manner, which was much needed after a day of travelling, we asked about dinner even though it was nearly 11pm and were told yes not a problem, we... I booked a "romantic getaway" for myself and my wife. Since we both love Rome and I am an Accor Platinum Card holder it fell natural to use the offer to stay in this "luxury" hotel! The location is excellent, but when you enter you are immediately confused as to where you should go. No mentioning of status, no feeling... More

Very nice Boutique hotel in the center of Rome, very close from Republica and Termini. All the main attractions can be reached with Metro, which is around 3 min from hotel. Spacious and trendy decorated room. Restaurant is also very good with a nice view over Rome. Nice and very helpful staff. Minus point: a little bit slow by checking... More

We had the opportunity to visit Rome and I chose La Griffe because it was an MGallery hotel, with a convenient location and many good reviews. I didn't really read the negative comments and I quite regret now, because i wouldn't have stayed here if i had payed more attention. The attention at our arrival from the bellboy who welcomed... I loved the decor of the hotel, the staff were great - very helpful! The room was small but very clean and well presented. Breakfast was lovely and had brilliant views over the city. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
