This hotel is close to the Piazza Della Republica & the Train terminal. The rooms are small, it has air conditioning & a nice breakfast. Sights within a short walking distance include the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps & Piazza Del Popolo. There are also lovely fountains, churches & restaurants close by.

So, if you don't intend on spending much time at this hotel, it is more than appropriate. The hotel is in a large block with other hotels and offices. So yes it is in the wall but it is fine. It is about a mile away from the heart of Rome but at least it is in a safe location.... More

I will start by saying if you are looking for luxury.... Then don't stay at the embassy. If you are the type of person like me who wants to stay somewhere in an ideal location and not pay through the nose, then this is the hotel for you. 24 hour security at reception so come back when ever you want... Nice hotel to stay in. I stayed there with my wife back in Oct 2012 for 3 nights. Very good location right next to the main Train & metro stations. Breakfast menu was small but adequate. Clean rooms & helpful staff.

This hotel's location isn't near the major attractions like the Fontana diTrevi. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to Piazza Barberini. From there, it's going to be another 10-15 minute walk to the fountain. Get out a map so you can see what I mean. It's walkable, sure, but not like you're right in it. Well, it is true... More

You arrive at the huge, closed front door on the side street and think that things couldn't get worse.....well think again. The carpet leading up to reception and then for the 1st few floors looks as if it hasn't been vaccumed in 10+ years. In fact one morning I actually saw a worker with a brush, basically brushing the dust... More

About a 10min walk from Termini Station. A number of cafes and restaurants nearby. Older hotel, no frills, in need of an update but clean. Breakfast was good. We paid more than we normally would for this room as friends were staying nearby, so probably wouldn't stay again based on value for money.

Appears we had the box room in the corner (312) which is right near the entrance for breakfast and close to the stairs and lift. Woken up at 6 every morning with staff setting up breakfast, and generally being noisy without consideration for sleeping guests.

Just returned from four nights in this extremely well priced hotel. Nothing fancy, but immaculately clean and excellent service. Well situated in a fairly accessible area outside of the busiest parts of the city, we were delighted with our choice given the price we paid. Traffic noise is unavoidable in Rome but the double glazing helped. Breakfast was acceptable and... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
