First of all staff was very kind, polite and friendly. We was visiting Caravaggio hotel with wife and 4 of our friends. Room was big, with classical furniture, old mosaic floor and with window directed to Via Plaza. Bathroom was clean, and along with room was also warm. When reviewing a hotel you really must measure it against such things as location, price and facilities. In this regard I will give this hotel 5 stars. For about $60 we got a double room in the centre of Rome, just off Via Nationale with a hot shower, heating/aircon, TV, a mini bar, a good breakfast and free WiFi that... More

Roman style hotel if you like antique style, you will defo like this hotel, specially the very old and stylish elevator. The room is nice, not so big but this is no problem at all for few days only. Good breakfast, croissant, normal bread, jam, yorgut....enough to a good day start for me. Very attentive and friendly staff. The wine... More

3 years ago we stayed just down the block at the Picasso Hotel, which is the "sister hotel" to the Caravaggio. This time it was the Caravaggio we chose. We found that this area is the perfect base for touring Rome, in that it is walking distance to the Termini Station, one block from the Via Nazionale, and very near... More

The hotel was in a great area in walking distance to all the main attractions. We walked from the train station to the hotel which took us around 5-10 minutes. We were told that walking to the Vatican would be too long of a walk, but it was not at all. It took us an hour to walk there which... More

We stayed here for a 3 night break and found this a great spot to explore the city. The hotel's location was perfect for accessing many of the districts of Rome, we walked to Trevi, Borghese, Tridente, Centre Storico, Ancient Rome. Termini and multiple metro stops are also within short walking distance. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was... More

The hotel looks very nice, as well as the room itself. Breakfast was fine and the location gives you the opportunity to explore different parts of Rome on foot. The staff was most friendly: they gave us lots op tips for sightseeing and restaurants and took care of everything. We've been in other hotels in Rome and this hotel was... More

This hotel is perfectly located: close to the metro, close to Termini Station, close to the ancient Rome. Via Nazionale just around the corner if u want to make some shopping. The room was very nice, the breakfast was enough to start your day... Every thing about this hotel is perfect. I would go back 100 times PS.: the stuff... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
