Excellent hotel. Room was available 10am. 5 Minute walk to train station. 150m from starting point of Hop On Hop Off Bus but flat comfortable walk to most of the major tourists sights. Hard to think of a better place to stay.

Great location near Termini station - walking distance. The room and bathroom were a bit small but comfortable enough. The bed a bit stiff for my taste but my spouse loved it - so it's a matter of preference. Breakfast was simple. The roof garden is the best feature of the hotel and having breakfast there is just the nicest... More

Average hotel. Rooms are nice but toilet is REALLY small. Nothing special about the breakfast but the restaurant on the rooftop is nice specially if you are looking for some gluten-free dishes. Location is very good, close to Termini and Santa Maria Maggiore which makes it good as a base to explore Rome. If I go back to Rome I... More

Nothing fancy but nice enough to rest at nights and be able to tour around Rome. Restaurant on the rooftop has an aggressive waiter that got upset and moody because we only ordered a couple of personal pizzas. That kind of ruined our experience in the hotel, but otherwise a fine stay.

We didn't know what to expect since it was our first time to Rome. We were pleasantly surprised with our room. We were told all the rooms in European hotels were tiny. We booked a superior room and had a lovely spacious room and had a 3 piece bath (shower). Our room overlooked the street and we had a small... More

This hotel has a great location very close to the main Termini station and it is a short walk to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Spanish steps. The rooms were HUGE for a European hotel - we were very impressed. The complimentary drinks and snacks in the mini-bar were a very nice touch too. Air conditioning coped very... More

Just returned from a stay at this hotel and it was a lovely hotel and the breakfast was good. It was, of course, very hot (which we expected) and the air con only worked up to 30oC !!! Seeing as it was 38oC+ it was extremely warm in our room and as soon as you had showered you needed to... More

Big rooms for a European hotel. Easy walk to sites and resturants. Staff very nice. Rooms clean. Rooftop resturant had tasty food and it was a very relaxing way to end your day with a nightcap overlooking Rome.

In Rome hotels are hit or miss. This hotel was located conveniently near Roma Termini (5 min walk), AC worked well and it was clean. My room was small but I didn't need much as a solo traveler. It was equipped with a fridge. It was fairly inexpensive under $100 per night. Free breakfast was phenomenal (eggs, bacon, cheeses, cold... More

A pleasant three night stay with two of our teenage children. We had a family room with adjoining bedroom room on the first floor, both with en suite. Rooms were on the smaller side but no different to that expected of an English Travelodge - we didn't visit Rome to sit in our rooms all day! The cleaner called in... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
