We spent 4 nights at Diana Roof Garden in August. Our stay was a bit of a mixed review. The Good: Price of rooms were very reasonable. The location was close to the train station and metro but the area itself was less than desirable. Staff was friendly Breakfast (included) was very good. The rooftop was comfortable and spacious. Quite... More

Firstly it was my birthday and my partner asked in advance for a high room with a balcony - the hotel kindly put in in a beautiful room on the 6th floor with a balcony overlooking via principe Amedeo. The balcony was large had 2 seats and a table and caught... More

This hotel has cancerous roofing just outside some of its rooms. They should remove it, but since it is costly they don't. I attach some pictures of it. I think this is quite disrespectful of it customers and since it is a big hotel well located I doubt thay cannot commit the money needed to improve safety both for its... More

We stayed from the 06.08.2015 to 09.08.2015. Hotel was very clean in the room. The balcony not so, there was cigarette buts in a hole in the wall, also the grout in the shower could have done with a bleach as it was quite black in places. The breakfast awful not much choice at all, didn't even bother to have... More

Stayed here for just a night in a room for one with a single bed. The room was just alright, quite run of the mill. Had a late lunch at the lovely roof garden. As it was odd hours, I was by myself and the service was still excellent. I had to check out at 4 am and it was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
