I have just returned from a long weekend at Rome! Hotel Diana was a very pleasent stay! Staff were very attentive and helpful! Snacks and drinks were delivered to the room every morning free of charge, which I found very generous! Hotel was very clean, and lived up to expectations of it's four star rating. Would definitely recommend having a... More

Within minutes of arriving at the room we had to complain about the dodgy electric. 2 plug sockets in the room were broken and when we plugged the kettle in it kept blowing the fuse. They tried to give us other room or fix the electric and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We also Had to ask... More

Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay in a nice central part of Rome. Not sure i found the staff particularly helpful. In fact i found they could be quite rude to be honest but i found that to be the case a lot in Rome. It didn't detract from the comfortable rooms reasonable breakfast and stunning views from the roof... More

The rooms are clean and have all amenities you will need seeing as you don't spend much time in them as so much to do. Bar man was excellent so friendly and happy. Breakfast was of an excellent... Not sure if they have a different rating system over there but this was nowhere near a four star hotel. Rude reception staff, really unwelcoming and unfriendly felt like we were inconveniencing them! The room was nothing like the pictures, small and run down only one pillow each, non-existent matresses might as well have slept on the floor. Paper thin... More

Hotel was very nice. Clean and comfortable. Rooms on the small side but we didn't spend a lot of time in them. Staff very helpful. Good breakfast options. Close to the main train station and within a reasonable walking distance to many of Romes major attractions.

Not sure what the ratings service call the Diana but in our four-day stay, we rate it as a fairly good 3-star. Odd entrance and confusing signage. When you get to the lobby, it's sparkling and the staff are excellent. We had a nice balcony roof facing the pool; noticed some scuff marks on the hallway walls… the room was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
