Reasonably priced hotel via an Expedia special offer we stayed at this hotel in early Feb 16 for 2 night . Nice rooms great breakfast and a 15-20 min walk into the main part of Rome to see the sights . Its certainly not the Hilton but for me it was more comfortable . Yes i would go back

We booked this hotel as it was rated a 4 Star, it is nowhere near this. We had 2 double rooms which both were very dated in decor, very small,in one of the rooms you could not physically sit on the loo properly without your knees touching the basin, no tea/coffee facilities but it did have a mini bar with... Stayed at the hotel back in 2014 when I visited Rome with my family and was immediately disappointed at the lack of quality wifi, lack of friendly staff and subpar breakfast. Small rooms are a common staple of Europe, however these rooms seemed exceptionally small. There were several stained areas of the carpeting on the floor and an odor in... More

We were told by our travel agent that this was a four star hotel but were greatly disappointed. Apart from the outdated decor and the tiny rooms, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were probably worse than your typical dorm room bed. Everyone had trouble sleeping as you could feel the springs in your back. To make matters worse, the... More

Great location - only 5 mins walk from train station and subway station. Lots of restaurants and shops around the area. There are a few other nice hotels just next to each other on the same street so you feel safe staying in the area. Not too far from attractions - we walked to almost everywhere. 20 mins to Trevi... Many positive things have already been said about the Diana Hotel, and I can only agree. Came here for the first time in 2012 for our second trip to Rome, recommended by a friend, and we´ve been coming back ever since. One of the special features is certainly the roof terrace - nice for breakfast, nice for the afternoon birra... More

We were on a group tour, and the organizers selected this hotel. It was a good choice for our four night stay. Close to the main railway station, many restaurants, and several attractions, it provided a convenient base of operations. (We were bussed to such sights as the Colosseum, Forum, and Vatican.) The sixth floor room was of average size,... More

Mi Roma Hand in Hand walking silently. Not a word needed to be spoken about the glorious architecture which rose majestically from the cobbled streets. 'Spot the Tourist'... Donning our camera's slung around our necks, all but forgotten as we took in the brick, marble and plaster structures that towered overhead. Gods, emperors, noble ladies and lions decorating the facades.... More

Situated ideally not far from the train station from which we arrived via the Leonardo Express from Fiumicino airport. Reasonably priced hotel, although remember Rome hotels have a tourist tax. Room was adequate with clean feel. Has blankets rather than duvet though. Had a shower in the bath that was perfectly fine, but if a slighter 'bigger' build you could... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
