Hotel was lovely, clean an good location. Bar man Franco was fantastic friendly & efficient nothing too much to ask. Staff in restaurant & breakfast room all helpful. The only let down was we had a adjoining room an had noisy neighbours no thought for people sleeping Try to make sure you don't have adjoining room.

cost our family a lot to go and stay, spent a lot, restuarants, shops, entry to historic sites, then ripped off on day of departure by 120 euro tax(approx. £100) supposed to be for upkeep of sites we already paid to enter,NO ONE LIKES TO BE CHARGED TWICE,one family at reception had to pay by credit card, and were heard to say, quote,ALL IT NEEDS NOW IS... We are posting this from the hotel. Four stars - you're having a laugh. We spent a lot of money to stay here and the first night it was so hot in the room but could not open windows as street below is too noisey. When I went to ask for air con to be switched on, I was told... More

We have just returned from a 3 night family trip to Rome. Overall I would say the hotel is average (3 star). Pro's Very good location for just about everything! Nice roof garden/ breakfast rooms. Good views from the roof terrace. Bedroom in good condition and clean. Nice reception/ bar area with wifi. Staff polite, helpful and mostly courteous. Tasty... More

The rooftop garden is beautiful and offers a stunning view of Rome. The hotel overall is nice, and the staff was mostly friendly (Though during check-in they were curt and not very helpful) The wi-fi was hit and miss. If you were on the main floor it worked 90% of the time without any issues, however in the room it... More

What kind of 4 stars hotel does not have available AC? Never again. Rooms were clean but incredibly hot. Breakfast was just average. The hotel was completely overpriced. Front desk staff when asked about the lack of AC only said "Oh well, didn't you know." UNACCEPTABLE!

We didn't know what to expect of this hotel after reading the mixed reviews but found it to be a lovely, comfortable hotel. We travelled as a party of three and therefore booked a triple room that was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel is very central and within fairly short walking distance to some of the major attractions. The... More

I have just returned from a long weekend at Rome! Hotel Diana was a very pleasent stay! Staff were very attentive and helpful! Snacks and drinks were delivered to the room every morning free of charge, which I found very generous! Hotel was very clean, and lived up to expectations of it's four star rating. Would definitely recommend having a... More

Within minutes of arriving at the room we had to complain about the dodgy electric. 2 plug sockets in the room were broken and when we plugged the kettle in it kept blowing the fuse. They tried to give us other room or fix the electric and we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We also Had to ask... More

Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay in a nice central part of Rome. Not sure i found the staff particularly helpful. In fact i found they could be quite rude to be honest but i found that to be the case a lot in Rome. It didn't detract from the comfortable rooms reasonable breakfast and stunning views from the roof... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
