We just came back from 4 nights staying at this hotel ,the rooms were nice decorated and there was tea and coffee making facilities plus free drinks were put in the fridge every day for us to use plus a snack of crisps. Breakfast was a smallish selcection but non the less it was all nice, ham, cheeses, eggs, bacon,... More

We mainly chose this place to stay for 5 nights because of the location, and the price. I cannot fault the location, it was close to the train station and withing walking distance to the majority of the attractions we wanted to see. The front desk was not overly helpful, but did provide a local map and was able to... More

Beautiful breakfast. Good size rooms, had easy to use safe, big windows, hooks for back packs, all the basic, plus a really good shower. The restaurant was on the roof and had really good food, lovely service, good elevators. Perfectly located to town, easy to walk around, we felt safe. There is no coffee in the rooms, as it is... To provide a balance view, there are many advantages to this hotel. Not least, its location which is within walking distance of the bus, city tour bus and train terminal. The other benefits include: 1. The rooms are a decent size (even those looking into the middle of the hotel – just don’t open the window!) 2. The beds are... More

I had originally booked a standard room, upon checking in I was provided with the room I had booked, but it was so small and the view out the back of the hotel was not in line with my expectations especially for a week long stay. I popped down to reception and advised them that I did not like my... More

Second time that we have stayed here and it has been refurbished since the last time. Breakfast was good. The rooftop is lovely to go to for just a drink or dinner or even to have your breakfast. Even though you can have your breakfast in the breakfast room. Staff were really very helpful. Walking distance to most things but... More

Hotel Diana Roof Garden has, as the name suggests, a wonderful roof garden with a great vista of Rome, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dinner is expensive but worth the price. It has recently been refurbished - everything is clean and fresh. The hotel is nicely situated close to Stazione Termini - easy to get on a... More

This hotel has three things going for it. Location, Location, Location. First it is located less than four short blocks from Rome's Termini rail station, which is also the major bus station for both city buses and the Hop-On Hop-Off tour buses, and the crossing point of the two Metro lines. We arrived in Rome by air, took the Leonardo... More

I visited the Diana roof garden hotel with my husband last weekend for our 2nd wedding anniversary. I had read some mixed reviews so contacted the hotel prior to arrival to ask about the air conditioning. They confirmed it would be on in each room. When we arrived it was 29 degrees and the room was ok, the air conditioning... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
