We stayed at the Cilicia Hotel for 3 nights and everything was ok. The receptionist that works in the night shift was speaking pretty good english and he was nice... When we left the two ladies were... not very polite, but probably we've been to so many hotels that now we expect people to be friendly and to say at... More

Good: Room was clean. Free internet Bad: Matrass felt like concrete. Receptionists not friendly (except one). Bad breakfast service eg not asking if you like coffee or tea. Shower was very small and water sometimes heats up suddenly, a very dangerous combination leading to burning of shoulders and back. Location: - out of the city, but not at a nice... More

Picking a hotel in Rome can be tough, particularly if you’re travelling in a peak season (vacation or a busy European bank holiday). Central hotels are easily too expensive. The alternative is to stay outside the centre but somewhere with good transport links. The Cilicia fits the latter category. On the one hand, the metro is too far out to... More

Lovely Hotel with a beautiful big room....Beautifully decorated ,old style...minor breakages which can be easily sorted....but very roomy with a nice big wardrobe, mini fridge, side tables and lamps, and desk with large mirrors. Big bathroom although the shower cubicle was small...Has a little issue with the drainage as water drained out of it slowly...easily fixed..Enjoyed the breakfasts there in... More

The hotel is fine for the money - room was a little small, and the breakfast pretty "average"...but again for the money these seemed more than adequate. It is however 20mins walk to the metro - the reception says 10, but we're avid hikers and it takes 20. From door to Spagna station is 45mins or so. We walked to... More

There is no restaurant, no information from front desk staff on nearby restaurants, and few of the staff speak english. They have no bus route, metro station, or airport shuttle information. It is so far from everything that you have to take a taxi...a minimum 25 Euro round trip. It is not on the bus line, 2km from a metro... More

This hotel is great...it's more like a 4 star than a 3. The decor is tasteful and the rooms are exceptionally clean. The service was great too. I really looked forward to the breakfast each morning, the food selection was great and also very fresh. The only complaint I would have is that it's a bit far from the city... More

there are actually no complaints about the hotel itself- it is nice, clean, the rooms are in excellent condition, the bathrooms are good also and the staff is nice. but location is a major problem- especially for those who like to be out all night - becuse you will totaly depend on transport. if you go to rome in order...
