We stayed four nights here. The cost is not bad and it is located in an area that has a neighborhood feel to it. Enough cafes very near for food and drinks. The staff was a bit stiff in general. Good breakfast and nice view of surrounding buildings. Easy to get around from there by taxi, bus, or walking. Would... More

Several times in Rome, and each time - nice hotel. Some days ago we've been at Londra & Cargill - pretty and nice, calm boutique hotel with very high level of service, It is located a little bit aside from tourist routes, however enough close to Spanish Steps and Via Veneto. As soon as taxi in Rome is not expensive,... More

You will feel like a true roman staying at this hotel. You are in a quiet neighborhood with lots of wonderful restaurants and local shops. The location has you with in an easy walk of many of the local bus and metro lines. Rooms sizes were good.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my sister and it was our first time in Rome. We found this hotel the perfect base from which to explore, we walked to all of the key attractions and never needed public transport. Contrary to the other reviews, we didn't have any problem with the Wifi, so perhaps there was... More

We stayed for 5 nights last October. Room size was decent, although a little bit dated. Everything worked just fine, with the exception made to the wi-fi connection. I tried to complain with the hotel but the answer was that the signal was weak due to some technical problems. They advised to try to use my computer at the lobby... More

Staff, especially on the front desk, are very rude. There is a wifi coverage problem and sometimes it doesn't work at all even in the breakfast area. i sometimes went to lobby to have connection. When i told this wifi problem, they replied that they knew but since it was a crowded hotel, they couldn't do anything. Also they make... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Londra and Cargill for one week in September before a cruise. We arranged for transport from the airport to hotel, to port and then to airport. Due to confusion between our travel agent and the hotel we were not picked up at airport, when we arrived in Rome, so we had to... More

Very handy to everything, Metro and train station. Many restaurants in the area. Great breakfast. I was with a large group and except for check in everything went very well. Everyone was happy with their stay. Only minor complaint was no view from my room. All I could see was a wall. I guess that made my room quieter so... More

This hotel is in a good location: walkable from Termini and to Spagna, at the same time in a quiet side street. Breakfast is good for Italian standards, but overcrowded - be prepared to queue to get a table. Rooms are ok - mine at least was not bigger than your average Rome hotel room, i.e. it was on the... Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
