Very nice beautiful rooms. This hotel is located within 20 minutes of Roman sites if you are physically fit to walk. If you cannot walk you are out of luck and choose something closer. Very nice restaurants and shops nearby. Near nice boutiques, Spanish Square, great gelato and public transportation. You cannot ask for a nicer cleaner room. If I... More

Booked this hotel for 4 nights based solely on TripAdvisor reviews and was not disappointed! good location within a 10 minute walk of the train station and metro line. And not too far from the main attractions. Breakfast is included and was amazing! Full spread of italian cold cuts, cheeses and pastries. A variety of juices and cereals, and you... More

We stayed at this hotel because it was booked as part of a tour we were on. The rooms were spacious as big city hotels go. The desk clerk was happy to offer restaurant recommendations and the barman is a great character.

Smashing hotel within easy walking distance of the republic tube station and termini railway station. Our room was great with a huge bed, very quiet, on the 5th floor. The breakfast is buffet style but very good with plenty of choice and attentive staff. We found some really good restauants just round the corners of the hotel and the only poor... More

This is a decent hotel nearby Barberini/US embassy area. Hotel is reasonably well kept and rooms are large for Roman standards. Generally in decent condition. Walking distance to several attractions, though not easy to flag a taxi so need to book them if you need one.

Spent 6 nights at the Londra and Cargill prior to a cruise from Rome. Staff very helpful with attractions and transportation. Excellent buffet breakfast included - though it only opens at 7:00 am - no breakfast if you have an early start to the day. Clean and quietr double bed room with more than adequate en suite bath. Booked with... More

I would go back any time when in Rome. The location is excellent, not in the touristy part of town. Mostly well maintained beautiful buildings , lots of embassies and banks, very clean and safe to walk around. The staff at the hotel is friendly and attentive. The hotel is very clean, the beds are super comfortable. We were on... More

Lovely hotel- but tucked away in a hidden square and hard to find. When asked if someone could draw me a little map or give directions from the main bus stop they laughed at me, said it was not possible for them to know all the streets in Rome and gave me a tourist brochure and said I should be... We stayed at the Hotel Londra on a pre-cruise package, so it was the cruise line's choice, not ours. But what a wonderful hotel! The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the concierge. The concierge was very helpful in calling cabs, helping us find local restaurants, and solved a problem with the wireless. The rooms were well-appointed, with comfortable beds... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
