My family and I stayed at Hotel Londra & Cargill in Rome for four nights. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood and yet it is just a 15-minute walk from Termini Station. From Termini, you can access all major sites in Rome by public transportation. Also, if you like to walk, the Forum, Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, and several... More

Beautifully air-conditioned oasis in a quieter area of Rome, though still near notable churches and other historic sights such as the Spanish Steps. Handy for the Via Veneto and Termini Station. About 15 mins walk to nearest metro. Several pleasant restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel seemed very quiet which we liked. Helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms. Wi fi... More

Hotel Londra & Cargill is located in a nice quiet neighborhood just north of the Termini. While tempting to walk from the Termini to the hotel, I recommend taking a taxi. The location provides easy access to all major attractions in Rome as well as fine restaurants, metro lines, and bus service. It’s a classic hotel with nice rooms and... More

A good hotel. The staff was helpful and the atmosphere was good. It is located in a quite and beautiful neighbourhood that is not very touristic yet walking distance to The Spanish steps and other places. The area also has great restaurants close by. Unfortunately the wifi was poor in the room and they did not have any room service.

We had been bumped from Hotel Victoria to this hotel as Hotel Victoria had double booked us. We stayed for 2 nights. Breakfast was good, room was comfortable and clean and a good standard. The hotel unfortunately had absolutely no atmosphere and we had to ask reception to find the bar man as no other guests were using the bar... More

The staff at reception was not nice at all! Can't comment for all of them but first day we arrived the guys were so impolite. Whatever, the wifi sucks. It was barely working when I was in bed, it was not working at all when I was next to the window. Location, price and service are not worth for the... More

We were in Rome last week and it was exceptionally hot (over 40*c!) so good air conditioning was essential. The Londra & Cargill was a haven of coolness :) It is located only a 10 minute walk from the main train station and underground in an area full of embassies and nice local restaurants. The staff were very helpful and... More

The staff were both polite and helpful. Room clean and spacious with large king size bed. Breakfast typical European buffet, but was fresh and with good choices. Only downside is position in that it is a hilly walk from underground station. All in all a good alternative even though we would not have necessarily selected the area. There are some... More

Booked for just one night and there is no need for a long winded review. Quite simply if you are looking for a good hotel at a reasonable price you need look no further. A little off the beaten track, but clean, comfortable with typical Italian friendly hospitality. Good breakfast too. Only bad point, wi-fi is a bit slow, but... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
