We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Its a short walk from Manzoni station (subway). It's in a very quiet street with a convenience store close by. The hotel in itself was shabby and outdated. The place could do with a make over. Breakfast was quite disappointing aswell.

I booked a room at this hotel after having it recommended by a friend. Location: Somewhat close to Termini (central train station), and if you do not want to carry your bags all the way to the hotel from the station, take a cab, they are quite cheap (at least compared to prices in my home country, Denmark). Also the... More

My son and I each had single rooms. The rooms were very small and shabby. There were missing tiles in the bathroom and the paint was peeling off. The wallpaper in the bedroom was badly marked. There were very few sockets to charge phone etc and I had to remove the tv plug to charge as the other socket did... More

This hotel has a good position in a quiet street but doesn't merit 3 stars. The rooms are shabby with stained wallpaper peeling off the walls and air conditioning units that barely work. The public areas are not much better with worn, stained carpets. The young man that checked us in was very good and helpful but the other reception... More

Our beds were twin size and they were VERY narrow. I think they were something like 32 or 33 inches wide. The coils could be felt which made sleeping difficult and uncomfortable. The breakfast was average. We would suggest staying at the Best Western that is right next to the underground trains. The hotel is on a quiet street.

We had a very good time staying there, the hotel staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast was great, overall we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a pretty good location, not far from the colosseum, there are buses and trams near by and the metro station is also pretty close, for food there are several pizza places... More

On a quiet street, you are located pretty much a straight shot to the coliseum. It is a 15-20 minute walk, but for the value I found this hotel to be a decent location between the train station and main tourist areas. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had wifi throughout. The previous night I had stayed at a different... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
