On a quiet street, you are located pretty much a straight shot to the coliseum. It is a 15-20 minute walk, but for the value I found this hotel to be a decent location between the train station and main tourist areas. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had wifi throughout. The previous night I had stayed at a different... More

The hotel is as described so we had no complaints. The showers were hot and the bed comfy. We had 4 nights bed and breakfast. Breakfast is as what we expected, continental style type breakfast with a good selection of warm croissants We stayed Thursday to Sunday, Thursday and Friday looked as thou the hotel accommodates for schools or colleges... We stayed 5 days at this hotel in the middle of october. We lovede in room 204, which where perfect for our needs. The breakfast buffet was fine, nothing special, but quite good, and a little Nice lady made Coffee for Each table. The three guys at the reception where kind and helpfull, especially one, who made us a bag... More

Dear Fitnis, thanks so much for the kind words, we are glad you liked the room, the breakfast and the "breakfast to go" service provided if our guests inform us in advance that they will have to leave earlier than 7 am when breakfast service starts. We are very glad that you appreciated it. More

Lovely hotel, just what me and my family needed and looked fab outside when we arrived. Air conditioning was great (and much needed) in 2 of our rooms (we had 3 rooms all together), a little dated décor, but really good value for money and located quite near to the Coliseum, a few restaurants and shops. Great roof top area... More

It's too far from the nearest metro station, i.e. Manzoni. Had to walk a few blocks to find it. The only nearest attraction was Piazza de Porta Maggiore. Breakfast was served at the next hotel, Hotel Bled. Must be of the same chain. However, the front desk guys were very helpful whenever we asked for infos or directions.

Dear Dee S, thanks for your kind review. Metro is at 7 minutes by walk, which, considering that there are only 2 metro lines in Rome is a quite fair distance. Close to the hotel are also basilicas Santa Croce in Gerusalemme and the famous San Giovanni in Laterano. More

The hotel is in a safe area , the subway is really close. In general it's clean but the service was not so nice. If anyone wants to spent extra days at the hotel is better to book it online otherwise you will be charged a lot more ! I wanted to book a room for other 3 nights and... More

In Rome you pay for what you get! This is a Budget Hotel! However i found it Clean and reasonably comfortable. The staff in general were helpful and courteous. (Except one Night porter) Who could do with some social skills . Food was good and the breakfast selection was broad !

Stayed here for two nights with a friend. Location is good, and it's easy to find trams etc. to get to the main Rome attractions. We walked from Termini when we first arrived, and from there it was not too easy to locate, with it being both dark and with our luggage. I recommend taking the tram! The rooms were... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
