After staying at the De Russie in Rome last September (2010) we decided to both begin and end this year's fall vacation at the same place. It is so easy to find--we I especially liked the people who worked the reception desk. They gave us excellent ideas for restaurants (Porto di Ripetta wonderful!), and they took time to run off... What a pearl of a place. A gorgeous hotel, set right in the middle of the historical centre of rome. They deliver really high quality service very consistently, and obviously care about what they do. Yes, it is expensive, but wonderful and nice to stay in a place with luxury but warmth as well.

You step out of the hustle and bustle of Via del Baubino into the sanctuary of the Hotel de Russie. There are elegant and comfy sitting areas and then you walk through to the dining areas. The outdoor area has recently been updated. We try to come to the de Russie every year and were pleased to see that they... More

We stayed for a few days and found it to be the perfect hotel for a city break. Everything was high quality and very tastefully done. Of course, it was expensive but you they do deliver an exceptional service.

Just spent 5 nights at Hotel de Russie. It is a beautiful hotel, modern rooms and good service. They have great attention to detail. For example everyone appeared to know that we met up with a friend and treated us as a "party of three" in the restaurant, etc. They acknowledged my fiancé's birthday by leaving a beautiful birthday cake... This past summer, we had the pleasure of staying at the DeRussie in Rome. Its garden is lovely, a quiet oasis in a spectacular location in the center of the City. The food at its restaurant was actually the best we had in Rome, and the services of their Concierge staff were unparallelled. A true delight!

An excellent location of this hotel captured between the Spanish stairs, villa Borghese and Piazza del Popolo is for sure a big bonus, but what makes it really special are its style (not over-designed as it sometimes happens, but with the right measure to keep it simple and yet cosy and comfortable) and its people. The hotel stuff will do... More

We were here for four nights. The staff are very nice. The rooms (deluxe) are hit and miss. Certainly not special. The bad news? Crappy loud music in the court yard every night until 10-11pm that pounds your room. Sheets made out of cheese cloth - I am not kidding. If you want a very nice quiet special place in... More

I know it's expensive,* but honestly, how can there be 180 hotels in Rome that are better. I have stayed at cheap hotels ($3 a night), as well as the Ritz in Paris, Claridge's in London and the Cipriiani in Venice, and this is one of the best hotels in the world. If money were no object, I would always... More

I have stayed at the Hotel De Russie many times since it opened. It has a beautiful garden; comfortable, nicely furnished rooms; and an attentive staff. Each time it is an enjoyable experience – perfect and luxurious. I look forward to my next visit. Upon arrival, you are greeted by the doorman and escorted to Reservations, where you receive a...
