I love it. Its expensive but it could be more expensive. I haven't stayed there but i visit the garden 5 times in 2 years. The athmosphere is awsome. Drinks are good. All-time favourite. The service is awake and the Cotoletta milanese was great.

This is the place to have lunch in Rome. The service is excellent and the food would be hard to beat. Best to book (table 14) to avoid disappointment. Whether a la carte or their lunch buffet we tried both, you will not be unhappy. The fish selection on hot salt stone is great also the lobster. Gavi was a... More

I had stayed at another 5 star hotel in Rome last year and vowed to stay at the Hotel De Russie if I ever came back. It exceeded mine and my husbands expectations , even though we were staying in the most standard room we were put on a high floor with views Iver the Roman roof tops,I am obsessed... More

I had seen this hotel featured on a couple of TV programmes for its beautiful gardens, right in the centre of Rome. As my husband and I were there for a birthday celebration trip we decided to treat ourselves and visit for cocktails one evening. At the back of the hotel is a large courtyard, backed by the gardens, and... More

Our stay at the Hotel de Russie with our children and grandchildren was perfect. The location, the beauty of the gardens, the comfort of the room and bathrooms were wonderful, but the service was what made this hotel stay an unforgettable experience. It was warm, responsive and totally unstuffy. Every single member of the staff was professional, friendly and helpful.... More

The combination at Hotel De Russie of location, beauty and comfort is unbeatable. All these are trumped by the service ( doorman, concierge, room service to reception) which is second to non. The atmosphere is pleasant, welcoming and relaxed yet all take their job and their customers very seriously. No sooner is your room phone off the hook, there is a responsive,... More

Stayed on business as well as visiting for a day previously. Service is without doubt 5*, nothing was too much trouble by all staff. Rooms were well equipped and a good size, if a little warm. Food first class. All guests who attended the event rated the hotel excellent. My only regret, was not staying for the weekend.

We stayed 3 nights at the de Russie during a week long vacation in Italy. We stayed there on recommendation from my travel agent who knows we like to travel 1st class. We were not disappointed in the least. Not only was the staff absolutely delightful from start to finish they made you feel so welcomed and glad you were... More

From the moment you are greeted at the door, your entry into utopia has begun. How do they combine a contemporary aesthetic with an old world feel? You are personally greeted from Christian the doorman to Bianca in the bar up to Mauro the very engaging hotel Manager. The rooms are luxuriously done with large bathrooms. Even the smaller rooms... Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
