According to the the Romans July & August is a time when all the jetsetters travel to the Coast or water and most of the tourists and workers remain in the city, but that is still not an excuse for poor service. I can say that from my experience this is not a place for families, The kids programs were... More

Lobby and garden are gorgeous but rooms are small and oddly furnished - not a luxe feel at all. We were first given a dark room on the first floor with an alley view. Shockingly there was mold on the AC grate. Given that we were paying close to $800 a night we were disgusted. After complaining we were shown... More

The De Russie is well located in Rome, near the Spanish steps, Via Condotti, etc. Its rooms are exceedingly well maintained, comfortably sized, including the bath rooms, and the bedding and furniture are excellent. Its staff makes every effort to be helpful. And on a warm Roman evening the garden provides a perfect place for a relaxing drink in perfect... More

Nice and cosy hotel in a very good area located. Rooms are well equipped and Staff is friendly, efficient with no arrogance. Rooms are more than comfortable but is the same as in all Rocco Forte Hotels. If you are in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt or London all the rooms have the same details even as the amenities in the bathroom.....And... More

I found the experience at Hotel De Russei, very comforting, elegant, and professional, having a well experienced and warm team that makes a person feel pampered and welcomed. The room was very comfortable; I felt at ease although I was by myself; the team serving breakfast were very welcoming and caring as well as the staff at dinner.

The outdoor areas here are wonderful, very relaxing and beautiful, you can't here any traffic noise and it doesn't feel like you are in the middle of the city. The staff are very friendly and helpful, they were able to give us some good recommendations for dinner places in the local area. They also gave us directions and answered any... More

A glorious night was spent at Hotel de Russie. This is a very upscale hotel with the finest rooms, surrounding gardens are amazingly beautiful, service beyond compare, and outstanding food. When in Rome, stay at this special hotel. The splurge will be a lasting memory.

I really love Hotel De Russie. The facilities are stunning. There is a fabulous garden with tables for breakfast, cocktails, dinner, etc…It is the loveliest place. We stayed in two rooms. They are not huge but they are nicely outfitted and squeaky clean. If I had to complain, I might say the bed is a little low to the floor... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
