Rome is a fantastic city, a lot of sights and a lot of miles to be walked...after a long day in the buzzing city, the Russie offers an island of silence, relaxation and luxury right next to Piazza del Popolo. Suites are luxurious but of moderate size, the garden is silent and offers several drinking and dining options. Service is... More

From the moment you walk into this hotel you are treated like royalty. Very attentive staff and could not do enough for you. The restaurant was excellent and the staff friendly and kind. The best part of the hotel was the courtyard. It was beautifully lit at night and we were able to enjoy our dinner, drinks and a coffee... More

Disappointing is the least we can say about De Russie hotel – Rome. Even if they use nice words to answer our complaint, they do not recognize they made a serious mistake regarding our reservation for New year’s eve. All the way from Brasil, we paid in advance for a 5 day stay in an executive room with the following... More

A fabulous hotel with friendly staff. It is well located and you can easily access all the famous sites that the city has to offer by foot or short taxi ride. Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Hotel de Russie as the rooms were large and well maintained.

Returned to the hotel after nearly a year, and my reservations from my previous visit were removed. A larger room this time did not feel so imposing, however the underlying impression from this visit remains the quality of the staff combined with the equality of excellence everywhere. This hotel has what it takes and even in the middle of winter,... More

This hotel is 5 star in every respect. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the accommodations luxurious but not over the top. The concierge, Allesandra, is an invaluable resource and a lovely lady. The breakfast was also friendly and memorable.

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighborhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighborhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (9pm), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
