My husband and family stayed here for a week while visiting Rome. The room was what I expected for the price. It was comfortable and had the essentials. However, the front desk clerk was rude at best. He was not helpful or willing to offer any assistance in helping with basic directions. However, the worst part was being woken up... More

A bit out of the way but if you turn right out of the hotel you soon hit a main intersection whee you can get a bus, tram or taxi. Turn right and you're heading to The Colosseum etc. Clean rooms, air on can be an annoyance but better than sweating to death on hot nights. Very friendly owners and... More

We had 3 night break here and found it to be very good value for money. The room was clean and comfortable .Good size bathroom, even if the shower had some problems(the handle came off ,and there was no way to turn off the water) but Joey(one of the night porters) came up to our room quickly and fixed the issue.... Pros – - Excellent location; 2 blocks from Termini Station and plenty of restaurants in walking distance. - The breakfast is only mediocre at best; 2 types of cakes, croissants, sweet rolls, fruit salad, yogurt and a machine that makes lattes/cappuccinos. - Overall clean and the room porters were very nice and helpful. Cons – - Rude front desk attendants,... More

We stayed for 4 nights in December at the main building of the hotel. Our room was on the 3rd floor. The hotel has an elevator. The room wasn't big but it was clean and basic. The bathroom was also not big with a shower. The hot water could be hotter. The water preassure was medium. At times a stinky... More

We checked in with no issues, the Front Desk clerk was very helpful and spoke English. The only thing is you might have to stay in a different bldg down the street like we did, the clerk was so nice to take us down the street and show us to buzz the door open, use the elevator and how to... More

This hotel was perfect for me, about 10 minutes from the termini where you can get taxi, bus, coach or the train. When I go away, I require some simple things, convenience, free wifi, a hot shower & a clean bed, and this was what was provided. For a city break it was perfect. Initially my foreign eyes had to... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
