On arriving at the hotel it was hot and humid. Booking in was not too bad, reception area was very pleasant the reception staff was rather rude. I found it strange that all the tourist sightseeing broachers were kept at the back of the reception and had to ask for each one you wanted. On-going to our room we had... More

THE BAD 1.In 35 degree heat, aircon is a must. This hotel confirmed they have aircon. However you could feel nothing.Upon complaining we were told well we have over 42 rooms and as everyone is using their aircon you cannot expect it to work properly. 2.We could not leave the window open as we were on a high floor and the window was... Stayed here for 2 nights in June 2015 with my 10 and 13 year old children. Booked it because we travelled through Italy by train and the hotel is maybe 3 blocks from Termini station. Building itself is well maintained and clean. I was not aware of a second building and stayed in the original main building. Lobby staff seemed... More

The price-service ratio is too low. The room was very small with an awful smoke and sewage smell. All employees of the hotel were rude and arrogant with no intention to serve you. I do not recommend without no doubt. By far the worst option.

I don't often complain about hotels etc but this hotel ranks with one of the bottom ones. My first impression of the hotel was not a good one - with black rubbish bags lying outside the lifts. Air conditioners really not sufficient for the hot summer months of July and no electric fans available. Choices on offer: sleep with open... More

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us on TripAdvisor. About your review, let me just punctualize a couple of things. When all the waitress end their job, around 3 pm, we leave the bags there to not put them on the street, since the refuse collection service pass to picke them up between... More

Family four stayed during Rome vacation. Friendly staff, clean rooms, small bathroom. There was a steel at times and as we entered the room. Overall comfortable stay, good enough breakfast, liked coffee, juice is watery. There is not soundproofing but didn't experience any significant issues that will keep you awake in night after exhausting walks in town. Air conditioning is... More

We stayed here on the recommendation of a family member who had been here in the fall several years ago. It was very hot in Rome when we were there (no surprise in June) but it became evident after the first night that the air conditioning was not adequate. We asked for a fan, but they had none. Instead they... More

Dear Guest, first of all, thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm really sorry to hear that you had this problems with the air conditioning, I just want to puntualize that we don't have any room "structurated" with problems, and air conditioning usually works very well in all our rooms, probably we just had a problem with some... We stayed in a family room that sleeps 3 and I was pleased that there was a decent bed for our daughter (some hotels just put up a Z-bed). The hotel and room were very clean and towels changed daily. The shower was nice and powerful to freshen up after a day's sightseeing. Breakfast was the usual continental, they never... More

If this is a 3 star hotel, if hate to see what a 2 star looks and smells like. After spending 18 days in Italy in Sardinia, I wanted to be close to the train station for my ride home. Initial perception was good, good exterior and clean lobby. However, when I opened the door to the closet sized room,... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
