Greeted by friendly receptionist and quickly registered. Our rooms were on first floor but lift only took maximum of 3 people so two of us had to wait. The room was quite dark and faced on to a side street. The decor was also dark - blue carpet and dark red curtains and bed covers. The furniture was rather tired... More

As our flight was arriving late in the evening, I emailed the hotel and they sent a car for us and had our room ready on arrival. Overall, we were really happy with our stay - breakfast was simple but perfect, the room was small but all we needed, staff were excellent and the hotel was very close to both... More

Friendly staff but... we had 4 rooms in a stay of 4 nights and all rooms were dirty, showers did not work properly and toilets did not flush... believe me i have seen a lot of 4 star accomodations around the globe and can live with Rome and Paris type of star ratings but this hotel is absolutely the worst... We stayed in a room for 4 for 3 nights. Had a nice view of the Italian courtyard. Room was relatively small compared to chain hotels. My biggest complaint was the AC which did not work properly. Cool air did not circulate in our room which was horrible after returning from a hot and humid day out sight seeing. Elevator... More

This hotel is awesome. Situated very near the termini railway station and on the main sightseeing bus routes. Also the magnificent basilica right outside the door !!!! Staff were awesome - couldn't do enough to help. Only downside was the breakfast. Worse one I've ever had in a hotel !!! Even the coffee and fruit juice were poor !!! Location... More

Where to start! The location...central, less than 10 mins walk from Termini station (with direct connection to Fiumicino Airport), close to all the attractions of Rome, such as the Colosseum, forum, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Capitoline Hill etc etc. Also located next to fabulous restaurants and gelato shops. Also around a 15 min walk to the Via del Corso,... More

Dear Client, We appreciate the nice words you have here left to share your experience in our hotel with others. Our hotel located in the heart of Rione Monti. Our stay at Antico Palazzo Rospigliosi was absolutely a delight! First it is really a Palace were a Pope resided. It has numerous resting rooms elegantly appointed, an enchanting interior courtyard, a breathtaking chapel, the restaurant associated to the hotel is a favorite of the local Italians, exquisite and very reasonably priced. We felt as if we were royalty at... More

Stayed for 3 nights with family as a birthday treat. Lots of lovely restaurants and shops nearby so very handy as you do not need any... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
