After reading mixed reviews I took a chance on this hotel. The location was perfect for us as we could walk to all the main sights. We even walked to the Vatican taking about 40 minutes; I chose a route through some very amazing streets. Don’t forget the national art gallery just at the end of the road. The staff... more

Hotel Julia was recommended by our parents and that made me a bit nervous at the start. When we arrived I was so grateful. Everyone says the Trastavere district is a great spot but this really can't be beat. You're only minutes walk from the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, and right on the open air bus route. There is... more

This very charming and quiet Hotel is extremely well located (2 mn from the Trevi fountain and one of the subway station). The staff is very nice, open minded, welcoming and helpful, the rooms are small, but comfortable with air conditioning (especially valuable in august !) and breakfast enjoyable. The ensurance to spend a nice stay in Rome. more

I've stayed there on my first trip to Rome and I've chose it because of the location (2-3 minutes to metro, 3-5 minutes to fontanna de Trevi, about 10 minutes walk to Spanish Steps). Staff was quite friendly, but the room! Room was dusty ans smelling strange, with outstretched arms I could nearly touch both walls so the room was... more

The Good: Good location, staff very friendly. Room pretty nice. Bathroom pretty nice also. Free wi-fi although see below... The Bad: Wi-fi is possibly the worst i've ever had. Drops out & forces you to sign back in every 10 mins or so or when you are half way through a credit card confirmation, whichever comes first. Bring ear plugs!!... more

The hotel is centrally located in Rome allowing you to walk to all of the main attractions. Beyond its location however, we were not impressed with the hotel. All hotels in Rome are expensive, but we selected the Julia because previous reviews had generally good comments Believe previous reviews about the really bad breakfast. It is the same thing day... more

Not a great hotel. It has tiny rooms and very thin walls -- you can hear everything in the next room and the corridor. At breakfast you have to stand in line for a long time to be seated - they do not have enough tables in the small breakfast room. The service at breakfast is very poor -- they... more

Our first visit to Rome and loved the city, it's amazing! Everyone is different in what they want from a hotel but in our case on this trip we wanted something central and at a good price. We weren't dissapointed. After a bit of a struggle to find it, due to my poor map reading skills I must admit we... more

I stayed here for 4 nights in Jan 09. As all the reviews say, which is why I chose the place, is the location. A 2 min walk from the Trevi Fountain, maybe 3 min walk to the Metro stop, and 15 Min walk to the Colloseum and all that surrounds it. The room and bathroom was pretty clean, wasnt... more

Overall, this hotel was fine. It wasn't the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but it certainly was nowhere near the best. Pros: Location-this is probably the best feature of the hotel. It is so central, only got the metro once and other than that walked everywhere. Clean-hotel room was spotless Shower-was really powerful. Cons: The noise-this for me was... more
