This was the perfect place to stay in Rome. It was a great value, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and the staff was very nice and accomadating. Serving us complementary coffees in the am and opening the bar in the pm for that late night bottle of vino. The best part of the stay was we could walk... more

This hotel was average. Pros: -Near main Termini station, about 2 blocks (which, by the way, is the only spot where the 2 metro lines meet and is the main train station). VERY CONVENIENT to get anywhere in Rome. I personally preferred the metro to buses, especially when the buses have nicknames like the "wallet eater". -Nice front desk staff.... more

Competely acceptable hotel VERY close to Termini station, just a few blocks away. Very convenient if you are coming into Rome by train or going to the airport. A few caveats: please don't book this hotel if you are looking for plush accommodations, if you are squeamish with lots of graffiti on buildings in the neighborhood, if you are uncomfortable... more

This hotel was in a good location if you want to be near Termini however the area was not the most desirable and I felt unsafe going out with a child during the evenings. The road the hotel was on was disgusting and the noisiest place I have ever stayed - with bin collections at midnight and a women screaming... more

The shower was disgusting with the bottom of the shower curtain being full of mold. The wallpaper near the bathroom fluffed out because of all the mold behind it. They told us it slept 4, but what they really meant was two futon like beds pushed together with a twin and a fold out cot. They made us return the... more

The Mariano is quite expensive for what you get. The hotel rooms are clean, and the bathrooms look like they've been recently refitted so are spotless and modern. The room wallpaper though is a bit hideous and the rooms are small. Good aircon though. The breakfast is towards the more minimal end of a continental breakfast, although you can still... more
