Rome is our last stop for our Euro Trip. On the first day we came to check-in, the reception lady told me she couldn't find our reservation from the system and claimed that we had cancelled the booking. I was so surprised. I even showed her my booking sheet but she said my booking does not exist. I keep calm... More

We stayed here for 3 nights which hasn't been a nice experience at all. The only positive thing was the location, otherwise we did not enjoy the stay in the hotel. The room was very tiny. We weren't able to open the door properly as the bed was just behind the door and you could just open it a half... More

Fairly basic hotel, but clean and near to both train and bus stations.. We spent 4 days here in December 2014, and it did the job since we were out seeing the sights all day. The breakfast isn't much to talk about, but it was included in our package so we gave it a try.

Wouldn't want to stay for long, two nights was more than enough. The gentlemen on reception were extremely friendly and helpful with directions etc. Unfortunately the hotel itself was somewhat run down and tired. Breakfast v.poor and dining room quite uninviting. Comfortable bed though. Useful to be easily accessible to the station but otherwise a dingy area.

Let me restate that, one staff member was friendly. Stayed here for 3 nights, and the location is fantastic, close to 2 metro stations with one of them being termini. Wifi is only available for 1 device and you have to pay for it. Staff are mainly rude and I only obtained a city map by noticing it in the... More

The most valuable feature of this hotel is its location near the Termini train station which is also the point where both metro lines intersect. It is located across the street from a nice park so trees from the window (room #108). The hotel itself is basic, clean, quiet and serves the usual continental breakfast. The items offered are pretty... More

Location is perfect for visiting attractions and all. Close to termini station. 15 min walking to Collosseo and Roman forum. Yet the district is quite abondened except of hotels and immigrants. But streets are always crowded and not feels so unsafe. With my family, we stayed for 4 days and 3 nights. Staff was really helpful and kind all the... More

For the price this is a fantastic hotel its smack bang in the middle of where you need to be to get round all of Roma. Its literally a 5 min walk from the Termina which is the hub for Roma. The rooms are dated but very clean and comfortable perfect base to explore Rome. The breakfast is good for... More

We stayed for one night upon our arrival in Rome. Pros - close to Termini station - awesome shower - clean rooms - comfy beds Cons - staff were not that friendly - not an appetizing breakfast Overall, great stay!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
