I was in Rome for a business trip last March and I experienced a lovely stay in this cosy guest house close to Piazza di Spagna. I recommend it to everyone who wants to visit the Urbe on foot (the most important landmarks are at a walking distance) and experience the lovely atmosphere of this wonderful city

I was so worried when I booked this hotel for my stay in Rome as it was the first time I tried anything other than hotels. However, it turned out to be even better than some of the hotels I stayed at in Europe. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Nino, who was very friendly and helpful... More

Nice hotel centrally located in a safe area, just a few meters from Piazza di Spagna and all major sites in the city centre. Barberini metro station is located just a few meters from the hotel's entrance. Clean rooms with free wi fi internet and nice location! Would stay again during a future stay in Rome!

Other reviews are accurate and this hotel is more or less what it claims to be. Thin walls and NOT SECURE WIFI. Not a lot of koosh to the beds. Low season traffic died down before 11PM for sleeping. Light colored curtains did little to keep out light and noise. "Front desk" was outside our 4th floor door so voices... More

I stayed at Golden Rooms for four days in January and I was really satisfied with the services on an overall level. The room was very clean, neat and the building is in walking distance to Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. I would definitely recommend Golden Rooms to budget travelers who would like to receive good service at an affordable... More

The hotel is in a great location. Right next to shops and restaurants. Walking distance to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Clean, simple rooms. The bathroom was very small and had a horrible mold, sewer smell. Thin walls. Tiny Elevator. Good customer service. You have to call the front desk to be let in the building and when... More

There is a metro station right around the corner from the hotel. It is very central and you can get to the Vatican, Spanish steps, Trevi fountain and Colosseum in minutes with a day pass that costs 6€. The hotel does not have any large signs, so we just followed the street numbers, but once we found it and went... More

Between the Spanish steps, piazza Barberini and the trevi fountain, you couldn't get more central. The apartments are small but are clean and have all the essentials...WiFi, fridge, TV and coffee maker, some have small balconies. Payment is in cash upfront but once you know this it should not be a problem. Nino is an excellent concierge and will do... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
