Just spent 4 nights there and whilst the main contact NINO tried hard and was very helpful the room had filthy walls, broken fridge, and very ordinary furnishings. No soap etc you need to pay upon arrival so best ask to see your room as I took a look at another room and it looked heaps better think whoever own... More

The best thing about this place is the location- the Spanish stairs is just 2 minutes walk along the street. Besides that, It was a nice place to stay- very clean, renovated, even the shower was great for us. We stayed as a couple in what they call a triple room, but I wouldn't stay there with more than 2... More

I agree with most that it is rather challenging to find this place but thankfully I had a great taxi driver - phew! Niño is the only receptionist and his appearance has to be prearranged. However, he tried his very best to accommodate e.g check out at 8am. Note there are no proper curtains in neither of the rooms I... More

The location was excellent as I could easily walk to many attractions and get to the metro quickly. It is not the easiest to find at first so clarify exactly with them. Once you're there and checked in and get your bearings it's fine. Breakfast was across the street and enough to wake me up in the mornings. My room... More

Location is absolutely great: minutes away from Piazza di Spagna and Barberini. 10 minutes to Fontana di Trevi and 20 minutes to Villa Borghese - all pedestrian times. Spacious room, very good and attentive service. The biggest drawback: the tiniest shower stall I've ever seen.

First of all, it is hard to find - Google Street View has the wrong address (they guide you to 137 when it is really 37) so be aware of this. There is not 24 hour reception - "Nino" is there sporadically so you must arrange with him a check-in time. This can be very inconvenient if you are uncertain... More

My family and I booked a room at Golden Rooms for one night before our cruise from Civitavecchia. Golden Rooms is actually considered a bed and breakfast because it is actually located inside an apartment building that has residents. The hotel is located in a great location right between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. The Barberini metro stop is... More

The top advantage of this place is the central position. Very near to Barberini and Spagna tube stations, you can easily walk to many attractions and shopping streets/restaurants, museums in Rome. Friendly staff. Elevator. Pleasant room. Some negatives: bathroom not very big, would benefit some refurbishment (walls not super white, floor not all in excellent conditions). All in all a... More
