We stayed several nights at the hotel and we found it was situated conveniently close to the tourist attractions and there are a number of restaurants and cafes close by. We found the hotel warm and friendly and very quiet at night time. We had a room on level 2 overlooking the gardens. They provided wonderful buffet breakfast. We also... More

My BF and I had nothing but excellent accommodations and experiences during our stay. We loved our room, we know that Domus Australia will not be like other hotels and we like that. The staff all were so friendly, engaging and helpful. Customer service at its best! We had wonderful buffet breakfasts there every morning. The room itself was very... More

I've been back in Perth a month reflecting on the calmness and attention to detail that the staff at this hotel provided. I booked Hotel Domus going on these tips from Tripadvisor; ask for a quiet room overlooking the gardens, it has a kettle and cups to make your own cuppa, a mini fridge to use, desk and chairs, free... This place is typically not Rome. This place is very comfortable, and extremely friendly. A really great location. Able to walk to many landmarks. Breakfast was great. All fresh foods. The staff were extremely friendly and most obliging. Highly recommend this to anyone who travels to Rome.

Stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2014.All of the staff were very helpful, the rooms are a great size and the breakfast was superb. It was easy to organise a lot of sightseeing from here and pick up and drop off with taxis was handy. Most of the tourist sights are fairly close by,there were good shops and restaurants nearby as... Domus Australia is associated with the Archdiocese of Sydney, Australia, but everyone is welcome to stay in this peaceful, lovely & safe guest house. The staff are friendly, helpful, interested but not obtrusive. They all speak English. I lost my luggage in the flight from Melbourne, and when the luggage was found ten days later, I was in Sicily. I... More

Came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and spent 3 nights in the hotel. It's a wonderful tranquil place , designed and decorated to the highest standards. The roads outside ( it is central Rome !) are noisy but our room had excellent glazing and air conditioning which meant that it didn't trouble us at all. We also had a... More

Donus Ausrralia was a treat to stay at. The rooms were finished with the best quality furnishings and bedding. The staff all spoke English and were very helpful. We attended Mass in the chapel- this area is so well done it is difficult to stop looking around and paying attention to the service. In Rome it was easy to travel to... More

This truly is an oasis in the chaos of Rome. The hotel has four main areas to retreat into: the courtyard, roof terrace, library and chapel. All are generous in size and very clean. Although fully booked during our stay, we hardly saw any guests. They had a surprisingly good buffet breakfast which was included in the cost. Dinners were... More

We had a great stay here, great location and easy access to Rome and buses/metro. The Courtyard is very tranquil and the food very good. The chapel is beautiful and peaceful. The staff were brilliant, helpful and friendly. We had a superior room on the third floor with a little secluded balcony and that was very nice. The bed was... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
