Fabulous location- close to the colosseum, short walk from the old city centre and just across from the ancient ruins. The room was adequate- clean comfortable and tidy and we had a great view of the ruins. The breakfast was basic but an Italian experience. The only downside was there was no front reception so you have to go to... More

Stayed at the Richmond Hotel on my travels through Italy. Fantastic location, 5 min walk to Colosseum & Roman Forum. Local shops & restaurants at your doorstep. Close to transit and all other sites in Rome.

Came for a 3 night break to what we thought was a 4 star hotel but were sadly disappointed. Location obviously great but the rooms left a lot to be desired. Very tired and completely basic. Loose and unfinished wiring, tired and shabby decor. bathroom in need of complete overhaul, something to hang the shower attachment on would have been... More

Overall the hotel was very quite, clean and very good for a city like Rome and its central location - just across the road from the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine and very near the Vittoriano, San Pietro in Vincoli etc. I recommend it.

The location of the hotel is great - very close to Colosseum and Roman Forum (we walked to all the major attractions). Our room had a great view of the Roman Forum. The room was large and also had a living area. We traveled with our two young children and the older one was a bit sick when we arrived... More

We booked the hotel for 4 nights and didn't know what to expect! Upon arrival the scene looked recently refurbished and not finished, but the service was outstanding, particularly by the front officer who welcomed us, Fabio! He gave us the requested information and more! He didn't hesitate to spare his time and direct lost tourists like ourselves, and he... More

Stayed here on our honeymoon 10 years ago and returned for our anniversary in 2014. Huge mistake. Nothing had changed in ten years - meaning that they didn't fix anything over the past 10 years. The toilet was broken in our first room. In the second room the glass lamps were broken and never fixed or replaced. The breakfast is... More

We booked a standard room at Hotel de Rome and upon arrival were told we could have a standard room or be upgraded to a room with a view at Richmond Hotel 2 doors down from this hotel. They had me a upgrade and view. The view from our room was outstanding - a wonderful view of the Vittorio and... More

So we arrived and entered the lobby, waited at the desk but no one ever came. We looked for a bell or a phone - nothing. No signs indicating someone would "be right back" - we ultimately asked the sidewalk cafe if they knew who to call and were told that the Hotel de Rome two doors down is where... More
