This 3 star hotel's key attraction is its proximity to Termini. It is less than a minute away from the exit on the Via Marsala side, on the right side walking from the station, just beyond the Hotel Corot. It is very badly sign-posted; just one small brass plaque on the wall. The rooms are small, but not particularly so... More

The Hotel Rimini was cozy and affordable. As we were spending most of our days exploring Rome, we did not require a place that was too extravagant. Our prerequisites that we gave our travel agent included an inclusive buffet breakfast, free wi-fi and a decent bathroom. The Hotel Rimini did not disappoint! The hotel is also about 250m from Termini... More

The location of this hotel is excellent, it is a few minutes walk from Termini, which is the main metro/train station in Rome. All the main attractions are only a couple of metro stops away and the cost of the Metro is respectably priced at €18 for 72 hours of travel. The bus which takes you to and from the... More

This hotel is very well located being very close to the main railway station. The rooms are small but we were fortunate to have one with a balcony which made it a lot easier to have an evening drink. The elevator was very small and would only fit one couple at a time. The breakfast was ok. The staff were... More

We were booked in here for 2 nights after a med cruise by the cruise company. The hotel's position is very central, very close to the rail station and within easy walking distance of the main sights. There were lots of restaurants close by for evening meals. Breakfast was ok, mainly breads and pastries but when we asked for more... More

Average hotel. Reasonably priced. Rooms very dark and small. Good price. Breakfast continental ok. Staff good. Very good restaurants nearby. Close to transport. Very rickety old lift. Bathroom clean and room clean. Hotel long way from airport or a one night stop over

It was our first trip to Italy and it started well because our hotel satisfied our needs. Our travel agent recommended Hotel Rimini and other hotels.I also checked it on the net and on Trip advisor. We selected this hotel and we stayed there for five nights. Though the room was small it was compensated by other things. First of all... More

Previous reviewers have given Hotel Rimini a high rating based mainly on its location close to Termini but there are many hotels in this area to choose from. The overall impression I had was that the hotel is lacking a lot of attention to detail in terms of making it a pleasant stay for visitors. At 100 euros per night,... More

We stayed in Rome for two days before our Meditaranian Cruise. Transfers from the airport to Rome were not included and I worried a bit about the journey as I'm disabled. I need not have worried. The airport staff gave us assistance from the airport practically to the train. The Leonardo Express goes from the airport to Termini ( the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
