This is a budget hotel and that is reflected in the room and the food. Hotel was clean and tidy and the staff were quite friendly and helpful, A great location for exploring Rome. The open top bus stops nearby and it is near the station which suited us as we had two night in Rome before going on a... More

We couldn't wait to leave. Luckily it was only for 1 night. We arrived after 10pm and were catching the train the next day. It is close to Termini, but stay somewhere else. The man on reception was not welcoming. The room was small, dull, plain. There were no tea/coffee making facilities. No water. Empty fridge. We did need something... More

We have just finished our 3rd stay at this hotel. Our last visit was some 6 years ago. We were greeted by a familiar face at reception. We were fortunate to have been given a room that we have stayed in previously which was huge and had views to the mountains from a private terrace balcony. The breakfast room lady... More

We spent 4 nights with a group of walking friends at the hotel and the rooms appeared to vary greatly. Our room (504) was very small with small shower room and toilet although it did have a large terrace that gave a good view over the rooftops of adjacent buildings. To my partner's dismay there were not any tea making... More

The good points - the hotel have great location, the staff is friendly, the coffee at breakfast is good, daily towel change. The bad - the rooms and bathroom are not spacious and poorly soundproofed, the lift is too small, the windows cannot be open, the bread for breakfast was not fresh. During our stay there was a storm and... More

The hotel is what it is: extremely basic, and budget. However this need not be a criticism! Initial impressions weren't great as the entrance and check in felt like a hostel, the lift is tiny and feels archaic, the room was small (bathroom hilariously so, maybe 3 feet wide!) and bed felt hard. But all things considered I have no... More

This hotel is quite basic, but is in a fantastic location- 2 stops from the colosseum!! The area the hotel is situated in; Termini, isn't great. In fact, because the Termini station is so big, my partner and I came out of the wrong exit further down and we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. The area was... More

We stayed here for three nights as part of a BA deal. We were really happy with the hotel. The room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was fine and the shower had good pressure. The breakfast was ok.... you can choose from a selection of pastries which were nice or ham and cheese, and eggs and bacon. The eggs weren't... More

Not a great looker from the outside as a single doorway into the hotel denotes the location. Reception small but efficient with short corridor to lift and stairs. Lift is tiny just cases and two people but adequate. The room 603 was basic but clean and quite acceptable for its star rating. Bed was very comfy and bedding and towels... More

The hotel is located near Termini Station. Very good connection of public transport from/to the airport and with every major important place. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is ok. Would stay there again.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
