We stayed in a superior room for 4 nights on a B&B basis. The hotel is in an upmarket area opposite the American Embassy with 5* hotels and a good variety of restaurants nearby. Barberini tube is a short walk away and the Spanish steps are walking distance. The hotel is very clean and decorated with lots of modern/contemporary furniture.... More

We stayed at the Rose Garden Palace from 13th /17th July and were very impressed. Everyone was so friendly and helpful, even had a bottle of bubbly in our room with Best Wishes. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel is in a fantastic location and makes it easy to get to the fantastic sites of Rome.... More

We visited Rome s a prelude to a cruise on the Italian Riveria. It was really, really hot. But, after a long day seeing the sights it was great to get back to the hotel. It was welcoming, with a friendly and helpful staff. The room was quite nice and the hotel is well located just a bit off the... More

Having stayed several times in Rome at 5 star accommodation (including the Aleph and the Baglioni) with mixed experiences, we decided to try a different hotel in the same area (by the Via Veneto). All we can say is that this hotel more than surpassed our expectations, it was fabulous! The staff were friendly and really very helpful and the... More

I booked two rooms at the Rose Garden Palace from July 12th thru July 15th. This hotel is a 4 star hotel across the street from the American Embassy and right around the corner from the police department. You can't find a safer area to stay in Rome. The hotel was spotless and the staff was exceptional....very friendly, helpful and... More

The room was of good quality. The room services was very good. This hotel has a good restaurant. I recommend it for breakfast and dinner. It is conveniently located for visiting major sites in Rome - especially the Spanish Steps.

We only spent 2 nights here, to see a bit of Rome, before heading up to Tuscany, all in one package, so I can't be specific on room pricing. We were upgraded, without even asking. The rooms were stunning, with a lounge area, walk-in wardrobe, and lovely bathroom. Nothing wrong with the room at all. Bit pricey in the bar,... More

This hotel in in an excellent location as it is within walking distance (or short taxi ride) to all major tourist attractions. We had a beautiful deluxe room with a very comfortable king bed. The decor of the bedroom and en suite was very good. The only problem was (due to a surprisingly mild week in February) the bedroom was... More

The hotel is across the street from the American Embassy. It is about 15 minute walk to Spanish Steps and not too much farther to Trevi Fountain (which was closed for renovation) and Pantheon. Breakfast is included and is extensive, including some American choices as well. The front desk staff was friendly, helpful and sociable. The rooms were large and... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
