We were very pleased with this hotel. It is not really centrally located but the hustle and bustle of Rome was only about 10 minutes' walk away and at the end of a hot day's sightseeing it was lovely to return to the slightly cooler temperatures of the tree lined streets and to relax in the sauna and jacuzzi (although... The Rose Garden Palace is beautifully located across the street from the American Embassy; as a result, too many Americans populate the rooms. The rooms, however, are beautifully decorated and perfectly maintained. My only complaint is that the breakfast was mediocre, as was the breakfast service, given the cost of the stay.

I chose this hotel for the swimming pool and was not disappointed. After a long day of sightseeing, it was great to take a dip in the lovely indoor pool at this hotel. My room was very large with high ceilings and a walk-in closet. Bathroom was gorgeous. View was nothing special and the crowd at breakfast was not particularly... More

We spent 4 night here at the end of April to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. He had never been to Rome, so I wanted to find a nice hotel, near to the sights, but not too busy or noisy. We were allocated room 314 on the 3rd floor. Quite a large room with a view over the courtyard garden/bar,... More

This hotel was amazing. We arrived a day late due to our flights being cancelled due to a fire at the airport. Upon arrival Marco the manger quickly got us checked in and upgraded us to the Junior suite due to missing out on a day in Rome making our day. The room was nice and spacious with a good... More

We spent several days at the Rose Garden Palace while with a tour group in Rome. The accommodations were exactly what we needed after a fast-paced day in the city. Our room was lovely and very comfortable. Our bathroom featured a large soaking tub that provided a welcome soak each night after walking for miles and miles throughout the city.... More

Huge room and lots of space if you are traveling with kids. Our room had a large bathroom, walk in closet and nice bed and pull out couch. The pool area was so nice and our son loved using it after a long day of sightseeing. The only negative is the breakfast, the hot items they have are not very... More

Very good hotel. Staff very friendly, and because it was my wedding anniversary end up getting an upgrade in my bedroom, and on the day of my check out got an extra-time for the check out. The location is great and very safe, because the American Embassy is just across the street. The breakfast was ok, nothing that great, just... More

My partner and I stayed here for three nights (26-28 Apr 15) and I booked it after reading other reviews on Tripadvisor. We found the staff very helpful and friendly and the room (311) very clean and spacious. As usual with European hotels, the bathrooms are compact and bijou but as I did not intend to sleep in the bidet,... More

We were slightly disappointed. The hotel is just off the Via Veneto and has a very convenient taxi rank just outside. The bedroom was a good size for Rome and was very clean. Breakfast was hit and miss. We did not know what was available, if some items cost extra etc. We decided to play safe! Maybe we missed it... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighborhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighborhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighborhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 8pm.
