we stayed at the Hotel September/October 2014. I shared a room with another lady, our room faces the street and we can hear all the street noise including garbage collection at midnight! The room is quite tiny and dark, very very basic facilities, no TV, no fridge, wifi is on-off, the key card usually does not work. The toilet/shower is... More

The place has the collesum at the end of the street 1way metro at the other. It's clean and basic also small . I couldn't understand why they put a chair with a back under the dressing table as you didn't have room to sit on it. The bathroom was small and clean but the shower head kept falling down... More

Not what was expected. Bathroom uncomfortable and toilet seat broken. Hair Dryer and refrigerator did not work. No ice in hotel. Small elevator with long wait. To walk up one needs to go outside and have someone one stair door. Limited continental breakfast.

First with the positive – just to be fair. The hotel is very well located in central Rome and easy to find on the long Via Cavour running down the hill from the main railway station. The hotel advertises a distance of 300m, but the walk down seemed a lot farther - perhaps it was the effect of an early... More

The only positive aspects were most of the staff including the helpful front desk and the location. However the negative aspects will be keeping me far far away from this hotel. I've had $200 USD stolen likely from whomever are cleaning the rooms. I've emailed the hotel and awaiting their response. Not only that but the ac failed to work... More

Dear Client What you are here affirming deeply defame the name and the reputation of our respectable hotel. In the last 20 years of honorable service none of our Guests have never reported of been robbed in the room. Ladies cleaning rooms are working with us since years. The helpful staff at the front office is available on 24 hours... More

A comfortable and clean choice, with a great location, really, you won't be disappointed! Central to absolutely everything, metro (Savour), most major sites and attractions. This is definitely a choice for you if your room is just for sleeping in, breakfast here is simple but ample. Plenty of eating options nearby, overall a great hotel stay.

Checked into this hotel for 3 nights. It was nothing like the pictures online. Our room was clean but very basic and it was cleaned on a daily basis. The tv and hairdryer didnt work but they did replace them. We had a problem with the air conditioning where it leaked on the second night and we had to put... More

The hotel is located on a busy road but saying that it is very convenient for getting around Rome city on foot!! Near-bye, you can hop on an off a tourist bus for 18 euros a day and their is also an office in the vicinity where you can book tours for the Vatican City if you so wish. The... More

Checked in for three nights. Very disappointed on arrival, but it was very late. Pictures are very misleading. Next morning checked out and booked a different hotel. Reception area doubles up for breakfast which is very cramped. Breakfast is very basic. Lift creaks up and only big enough for three people. Although it is close to station, it is not... More

We booked the Valle after discussing our needs with Denbighshire Travel. The hotel is on the Via Cavour a busy road through the city. We wanted a good location for walking to much of what Rome has to offer (which is plenty) & in this the Valle met our requirements perfectly. The hotel is not big and we stayed in... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
