The one positive thing I can say about this hotel is that it is near termini which makes for a quick getaway to the airport. Also, it is inexpensive. The desk staff was minimally pleasant and made no effort to help two older women with suitcases up the front steps or up the steps to the elevator which barely contained... More

Hotel Villa Delle Rose is a small hotel, conveniently located in a pleasant quarter of Rome, with many bars and restaurants in the near distance. Hotel Villa Delle Rose is only a five minutes walk from Roma Termini, the main transport hub of Rome. Room prices are moderate and include buffet breakfast. This breakfast is not lavish, but an Italian... More

Their website showed some romantic pictures with the hotel, which is true enough. On the other hand, the quality of the rooms is deplorable, the doors and windows do not close completely allowing cold air to come inside and a person from the personnel administration told us that there was nothing that cold be done to solve the problem of... We stayed there for 2 nights in October 2015, the hotel location is close to central railway station first timers may take 10-15 minutes walk asking the directions from passerby , I think Italians are not so courteous in answering correctly in one go...so be ready !! Finally reached hotel reception area and lobby were Ok ...neat but old styled... More

We stayed at this hotel for three nights prior to an Italian tour. It is located a within walking distance of the main railway station, with many restaurants, transport and a laundromat nearby. The room we had was small, especially the bathroom, but comfortable, breakfast was included and there was free wi-fi. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is very close to Roma termini from where you can get the metro and buses to all the tourists spots. The hotel room is small and so is the bed, but good enough if you are just looking to stay in the night and have breakfast and go around to places like me. The staffs are helpful and... More

Location is good, close to Termini station and lots of restaurants and shops close by. Hotel needs renovation, it looks old and dated. Wifi doesnt work in all the rooms, some rooms are better than other. Dont go for room 103 (terrible room if you ask me - room looked dated and old, bathroom was bad and very dated and... More

The hotel had a great location, next to termini, and really helpful staff. Even though the beds arent the best, its still great. close to everything by public transport, and good prices, and the breakfast was decent. If youre just staying for a few days and cant stand beds that arent perfect, then i highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed four nights in a family room with two children. The room had a large terrace which was a nice surprise. Traffic noise was not disturbed while sleeping. Good location and very comfortable hotel.

This small family hotel has everything needed for a successful stay in Rome. No excessive luxury but everything was fine, clean and well cared for. The breakfast is for Italian standards, rich and tasty (coffee ordered separately) Operation is personable and friendly. At the central receptionEnglish is spoken and there is a standard service for printing boarding passes. Good working... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
