We only stayed here for one night, thinking that it would be handy to be close to Termini, but EUR 79 was way over-priced. Our room was only one star at most. Fittings falling off the walls, tiny bathroom with curtained shower, no view (except of neighbors), sloping shelf under the mirror (so that things slide off, haha). No internet... More

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Zara at the very end of July. Getting to the hotel from the train station did not take long at all. It was a ten to fifteen minute walk. Passing by all the salespeople shoving flyers in your face does add on extra time. We arrived in Rome in the late morning... More

We have spent holiday at the Hotel for the second time. The quality of the service did not decreased in the last 14 years. I am highly satisfied, we have got what we expected. The hotel is in the centre of Rome, it is easy to get to most of the monuments by feet. We missed only some kind of... More

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Zara and had a great time. The location is perfect and we were at the Trevi fountain within minutes. The hotel in undeniably in need of an upgrading in the bedrooms and bathrooms BUT, it was spotlessly clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was standard continental and plenty of... More

It's a basic friendly hotel, very clean. Bed and pillow very comfortable. Excellent location, 10 min walk from the very heart of Rome (Fontana di Trevi, Spanish steps...). Staff friendly and helpful. We had a room overlooking the yard so not noisy at all, bird chirping in the morning. Breakfast very basic but ok. If will be another stay in... More

The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was so small only one person at a time could fit. Could hardly shower with the curtain wrapping round you. Desk clerk was very helpful. Breakfast was very basic.

The hotel is very basic but ideally situated to see all the sites. Can be a little noisy but it is a busy city so no surprise. Breakfast was Italian style lots of sweet pastries and cake but cereals and plain rolls and one choice of cheese! Plenty of coffees and teas to choose from also choice of juices so... More

We (my partner and I) stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of march 2014. We were quite apprehensive as we had seen some unfavorable reviews before we went. However, the staff were all friendly, helpful and polite. The room was a good size, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower/bathroom definitely could have done with some... More

We choose this hotel solely for the position....walking distance to all attractions except maybe the Vatican. Our room was adequate but the bathroom was ridiculously small, the shower curtain had to be wrapped up out of the way just to use the sink, in fact while showering too! It was a wet room and didn't drain well plus there was... More

After reading all the bad reviews of this hotel l feared the worse, but the only negative I noticed was that the rooms do look a bit "tired" and a small refurb would transform this hotel. On the positive side the staff were very friendly and helpful, the Room was clean warm and comfortable, breakfast was more than adequate, free WiFi in the... More
