I stayed here for 3 nights with 3 friends. We had twin rooms which were lovely. However, they had a room that was next to the road. Needless, to say the noise from it meant that they hardly slept. Myself and my other friend had one in the back of the hotel, and it was lovely. We were in room... More

My wife, myself and our two college age children spent three uncomfortable nights at the Hotel Virgilio. The beds were hard beyond belief, the desk clerk other reviewers have complained about is still there and rather than responding to constructive criticism has gotten surly to the point of being insulting and dismissive, not a good introduction to a hotel. the... We planned to stay three nights in Hotel Virgilio June 2013. First night we found some living monsters from our beds, but didn't believed them to be bed bugs. During the second night we finally specified them as bed bugs. We reported our findings to the hotel management. They were very friendly and we decided to change our room. Unfortunately... More

Hotel is in the center, Fontana di trevi 10 min walk, metro station 5 min walk, stazione Termini 5 min walk. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel.

Staff is very friendly, breakfast is nice. Do not stay here if you need wifi, it is not reliable. It only works a few hours each day, and the front staff just says "sorry, we call somebody. It happens a lot." The walls are pretty thin, but once we spoke to our neighbors, they quieted down. When a new person... More

Awful, shabby, outdated, dark and dreary, breakfast very poor. The only good thing was the towels and sheets were clean otherwise we would of walked out. Stayed for 2 nights and stayed out of the hotel as much as possible.

We just stayed for a full week and were very satisfied! It's central but in a quiet street. You can walk to most places (the tunnel by Nazionale is a shortcut downtown), and the metro at Repubblica takes you to other sights -- everywhere but Trastevere, really. Take a left at the end of Via Palermo and you're in Monti,... More

We stayed 3 nights at this perfectly positioned hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was 5 star. Rooms were very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was easy walking distance to all tourist attraction in Rome and a 20 minute walk from the Rome Central train station. Also close to the centre of Rome and... More

I took my mom to europe this april and I paid hotel virgilio with my miles. However if you keep in mind you are in Europe the hotel is pretty good. I mean, the rooms are ok (I live in USA if you want a suite go the big chains) but if you want to experience the real Europe the... More

Stayed in February with my boyfriend. We were very pleased to find that the hotel was within a walking distance to many tourist attractions. The staff at the reception was pleasant and friendly at first, but when we asked if we could borrow a socket converter they instantly seemed annoyed with the question. We were a little surprised by that... More
