It's a nice fair enough neat & clean hotel with modest breakfast right at the heart of the city. First night we had a problem with our room, we informed hotel staff about it and the very next morning they changed our room. Hotel staff were very helpful. The location of the hotel is so convenient that all the city's... More

My husband & 2 sons stayed here. The hotel is on a nice quiet street. Front desk staff, older gentleman doesn't like his job. He was very lukewarm & you didn't want to ask questions. Being a fun tourist, I did :-) Other staff is AWESOME! Friendly, helpful, very clean rooms/bathrooms, beds were poor & extremely uncomfortable. Rooms are basic... More

This hotel was centrally located to all that Rome has to offer. The room was basic with all accommodations necessary, but quite small. The breakfast in the morning was standard, nothing fancy, but it was free which was nice. The hotel staff was very helpful in answering all of our questions, printing out documents for us, and getting us an... More

Hotel Virgilio was an amazing hotel to stay at during my trip to Rome this month with three of my friends. Not far from the hotel are attractions like the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, which are lovely to walk to on a warm sunny day. I shared my room wth a friend, we had a twin room with comfortable... I stayed here for 3 nights with 3 friends. We had twin rooms which were lovely. However, they had a room that was next to the road. Needless, to say the noise from it meant that they hardly slept. Myself and my other friend had one in the back of the hotel, and it was lovely. We were in room... More

My wife, myself and our two college age children spent three uncomfortable nights at the Hotel Virgilio. The beds were hard beyond belief, the desk clerk other reviewers have complained about is still there and rather than responding to constructive criticism has gotten surly to the point of being insulting and dismissive, not a good introduction to a hotel. the... We planned to stay three nights in Hotel Virgilio June 2013. First night we found some living monsters from our beds, but didn't believed them to be bed bugs. During the second night we finally specified them as bed bugs. We reported our findings to the hotel management. They were very friendly and we decided to change our room. Unfortunately... More

Hotel is in the center, Fontana di trevi 10 min walk, metro station 5 min walk, stazione Termini 5 min walk. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was good. I recommend this hotel.

Staff is very friendly, breakfast is nice. Do not stay here if you need wifi, it is not reliable. It only works a few hours each day, and the front staff just says "sorry, we call somebody. It happens a lot." The walls are pretty thin, but once we spoke to our neighbors, they quieted down. When a new person... More

Awful, shabby, outdated, dark and dreary, breakfast very poor. The only good thing was the towels and sheets were clean otherwise we would of walked out. Stayed for 2 nights and stayed out of the hotel as much as possible.
