The hotel is very well located, 10 mins walking from the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and the Roman Forum and in a quite road. The room we had (132) was really small for 2 people and the decor is quite dated and needs a good refurbishment. The bed was too firm.We were on the first floor and you could hear people... More

Simple hotel, but comfortable. The room is smaller and older than it seems on the pictures, but that is not definitly a problem. Location is very good, a few minutes walk from Coliseum and easy access to other attractions of Rome. Friendly staff. Good breakfast with great varieties of breads and pastry. Capuccino, mocha, espresso are also available on the... More

This hotel was very good value. We were only staying for one night, leaving and arriving by train so it was convenient. The breakfast ( for Italy) was good . Lots of restaurants in the area and the staff were friendly. My only complaint was that the bed was too firm.

This hotel is very nice! Great location! Many nice not touristic cafés and small independent shops. Stuff is friendly! Breakfast is huge! My room 142 was so nice! I have only good impression of this hotel!

Spent six nights here and would definately come back again if in Rome. We were sightseeing on foot and were able to walk to most places. Room was on the small side but clean and tidy. Breakfast was plentiful, from eggs and bacon to sweet cakes ! We booked well in advance and got a very good deal. The reception... More

I waited to long to book my trip to Rome and the original hotel I wanted was not available, so I chose this one. The location is excellent, walking distance to lots of things. The room was clean, although the bathroom had a strange smell several times. I could def hear people walking and talking within the property(I had a... More

I spent a week in Rome and I really enjoyed the stay. The hotel is situated in a very good position: near Termini (10 minute walk), not far away from the city center (again 15 minute walk) and in a shot bus ride from Vatican. Yes, of course, it was a little bit noisy (especially at night), but the noise... More

The location was very nice, within 10 minutes of 2 Metro stops, 15 of Termini and the Colosseum. Breakfast was pretty decent, plenty of options. Room was kind of small but not bad, clean. The only big downside was that the bed was pretty terrible and hard. Our double was actually 2 twins pushed together and you could feel the... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
