It's location is excellent, near the Termini station, everything was in the walking distance, the only time we took a metro was when we visited the Vatican Museum. It's clean, breakfast is rock solid, staff helpful and friendly, really good value for money!!

Well located hotel close to Termini station and bus terminus. Comfortable bed, good wifi connection, satisfactory breakfast choices Non flushing toilet attended to in 40 minutes ! Reading lights could be more effective as room is quite dark.

The location is amazing. Just a few steps from the train station Termini and the subway. The employees are very friendly and will do all the necessary to help and meet all your needs. The breakfast is very good and they have something for every taste. The rooms have been renovated and are very nice... Important thing to know: the mattresses... More

We visited Rome for four days while staying at this hotel. Aside from a convenient location, it offers a wide selection for breakfast. Our room was ample in the bed and bathroom spaces kept clean daily and supplied with a coffee machine. There are various amenities nearby and close to the opera theater & Termini station. With friendly staff and... More

We had stayed in this street before, but in a different hotel, so we were pleasantly surprised by both the price we paid and the size of the room: plenty of space for two adults and two teenagers. Breakfast was good, though I'd have like fresh fruit and juice.

This was our second visit to the Selene. Very good value and excellent location. Right next to Termini station and within walking distance of most major attractions. Reception staff really friendly and helpful. Great base if you need easy access to the train station / transfers to the airport. We had a double room which was very spacious with all... More

We wanted to book a hotel near the Termini so that we could easily walk to our room from there, (The Termini is a major transportation hub with Metro, many busses and trains) so regardless of where you want to go in Rome, or end up during the day, the trip back to the room is quick and easy to... My only complain is about the weird bath tub screen that might be installed in all rooms. It doesn't block the water much when I tried to hide in the far corner in the bath tub & take my shower very carefully already. Water still flies or drips out on to the floor which means, yes we needed to use... More

The hotel is perfect if you are looking for a good value but nor for romance or atmosphere. It is clean, has a friendly staff, and located well. My only real issues were a lack of English programing on the television and no shelves or hooks in the bathroom.

This is a really nice place just off the street. Very easy to get to. They were very helpful in getting our transfers for us from the airport and cruise terminal. Definitely will stay here again. Beds were a little uncomfortable though

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
