This hotel is close to Termini station and Metro Station Republicca. We basically went by foot all the way when exploring Rome. Except when we went to the Olimpico Stadium which is quite a distance. We booked the hotel through the hotel website and we got an upgrade to a family room. this hotel has been refurbished so the rooms... More

Searched ages for a decent hotel that was cheap, clean, modern and in a good location....and I found it. Hotel is small but everything i was looking for. Halfway between the main central station Termini and another metro station, made travelling to the airport and the Vatican. 15 minute walk from the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. I was able... I came here there days ago and got two more nights to go. This hotel is reasonably priced with complimentary breakfast and WIFI. The location is only couple blocks to the central train station Termini, very convenient and restaurants near by, excellent customer services. With their help, I could walk to shopping and Colosseum, it's only 15 minutes walk, and... More

We have stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is located nearby good public transportation. The crew is friendly and helpful, and above all alexandra, the amazing, most helpful and minded reception officer. The hotel is quite clean, the breakfast is fine, pitty there were no scrambled eggs, or omlette. The shower amenities are very simple.

The Hotel Selene is situated just a short walk from the main train station in Rome, the check in was quick and efficient and the young lady on the desk was very helpful. I have been to Rome several times and stayed a few blocks from this hotel. But never stayed here and I liked the hotel and would recommend it to my friends. Superb hotel. Customer service was brilliant. Reception staff were so polite and helpful with all requests. Would happily recommend others and stay here again ourselves. Thank you. Location was brilliant with jut a short walk from the train/bus station. Centrally located to all major monuments. Plenty eating places around and all the ones we tried were lovely.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
