I booked this hotel for my husbands birthday present. He travelled with my youngest daughter as part of a special time for them to be together. The hotel staff and management were amazing! They answered all my e mails immediately, phone calls were answered in amazing English. Complimentary wine in room for Husbands Birthday arrival! Airport transfers arranged with Hotel... More

First visit to Rome and chose this place based on other reviews, reasonable price and great location. We were not disappointed. It may lack some of the facilities of larger hotels but it more than makes up for it with the great service/staff, clean rooms and the view from the rooftop terrace is amazing. A quite hotel but in a... More

Our group of three arrived at about 10:30am fully expecting our room to not be ready until 2pm, as is the custom in most hotels. But the desk agent, a very kind man, said that he could have a room ready in 60 minutes, To use up our time, we used the lobby computer to email home to let family... More

Myself and my 2 sons stayed here for 5 nights from 5th April 2015, I reserched this hotel alot and I must say we were not dissapointed. It is idealy situated on a little side street in the centre of Rome within walking distance of the Colosseum, Roman Forum and many other attractions. A great little supermarket at the end... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in April 2015. We were on the 7th floor, room 72. It was a large triple room with balcony. It was quiet and clean. The bathroom was large with a good size shower. We had no problems with the wifi. The staff was great. The breakfast was very good, with a large selection. The... More

Stayed here in March 2015 on a 5 day trip. Check in was uneventful, the staff were polite. The room was comfortable and average sized. The bathroom was split into a separate toilet and shower which was nice. The TV had one English music channel, the rest were Italian. The air con in our room didn't work when we tried... More

Stayed for 6 nights - very comfortable room en suite, though it was a little tight getting into the shower. Fourth floor view meant almost clear view across the city skyline. The roof terrace gave a better 360° panoramic view. Breakfast was typically continental with no hot food and limited choice but very tasty. Excellent location for the Colosseum, the... More

Just arrived home from a 4 night stay at this hotel. It's location is perfect for tourism, 5 mins from the colosseum, 10 mins walk from the main terminal and central to all tourist bus routes. The hotel is very clean, rooms are basic and quite small but perfectly adequate as a base. Staff are absolutely lovely, very helpful and... More

We visited Rome for the first time in February, and found we had picked the perfect location to visit this wonderful city. The Hotel Colosseum was a lovely base for our trip, very clean and tidy, really helpful and friendly staff. Although our room was quite small, we would definitely stay here again, perhaps by selecting a larger room. The... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
