I just came back from Rome, during this visit I stayed at Hotel Colosseum, reserved a room for one person with double bed but instead had 2 single beds, the room was pretty small but for one person it was good enough and that probably the only con. Everything in the room was nice and clean, I do believe I... More

Stayed here for 5 nights in December very friendly and helpful staff clean rooms nice quiet but good location as it is down a little side street off the main road. Great views from the 7th floor roof garden of the city & less than a 10 minutes stroll from the Termini Station some great restaurants & bars nearby (2... More

The staff were really kind and polite. They greeted us every time we entered the hotel and every morning and offered to open the breakfast bar before it was due to open as we were going on a trip before it opened. Will stay there again

Overall a great location, within walking distance to all major sites. Close to great restaurants in the Monti district, especially on Via Urbana, and a laundromat. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was a little above the average continental, and the staff was very helpful. If I had to complain about any thing it would be that the beds were a... More

This hotel was extremely cheap and I didn't expect much. Myself and my mother and granny stayed here for a 2 night break. The views from the roof we're amazing. The staff all spoke perfect English and really wanted to make our trip hassle free. The location is quite central yet none of the outside hussle and bussle and heard... More

When we planned our trip we tried to stay close to public transportation so that we had options to get around. We did a review search on TA on Hotel Colosseum and with the good reviews we took the plunge. I'm glad we did. The hotel isn't too far from Termini Station so we walked to the hotel after we... This was a very good hotel for the money. Everywhere and everything in the hotel was kept spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful and courteous, The rooms were well equipped and everything in it worked. The only drawback was there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room but this would not put me off returning -... More

Rooms spotless - beds made and towels changed every day, bathroom cleaned thoroughly. Nice breakfast of bread, cheese, cold meats, boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, pastries... we found breakfast so filling we didn't need... More

I was there with my wife and two adult daughters. Everything was OK except some adjustments that needed to be corrected in the bathroom in room 126 such as the towelwarmer did not work, the tapwaterbeam needed adjustment and the doorknob to the douche was loose. Otherwise it was quite OK.

Can't fault this hotel at all. Staff were friendly and smiley, especially the ladies in the breakfast room. Room was kept spotlessly clean. Managed to have a drink n the fantastic roof terrace, before the weather got a bit cold, and was able to enjoy the wonderful views. Breakfast was delightful - plenty of to choose from for everyone. Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
