Good hotel, friendly staff. Centrally-located, walking distance of the Colosseum. Has a lovely roof terrace with a great view of Rome. Looks like converted apartment-block, which it probably is, but our room was lovely - warm, bright, clean and spacious. Good shower, nice beds/bedding. Only possible gripe; our room would have been nice with a fridge. Overall, a reasonable, well-located... More

Location, location, location, great location, staff very kind and friendly, the room was very clean, and the included breakfast was also good. But, I think they need to improve a little bit more the rooms, the bed was terrible, and the room did not have an small refrigerator, so we were thirsty all the time. Besides that I will recommend... The location was great . Room was clean and comfortable, with free wifi.It was triple room on the 7th floor and we had a terrace with a beautiful view! Breakfast was good value. Good service at check-in and check-out.The manager and staff were incredibly friendly and we would definitely stay there again. Very good value for money.

Very welcoming, warm place in a great location. We had a fantastic ample room nicely decorated, spotless with a fantastic power shower. Great people at the reception area always ready to help. Good continental breakfast that does the job, overseen by two lovely ladies, always ready to assist. Very well located, with lots of good shops and places to eat... More

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2014. Friendly hotel, great location. About 5 minutes walk from the metro and about 10 minutes walk from the colosseum. The rooms whist small were comfortable, although the bathrooms are really really small and on our bathroom the shower door didn't lock totally. Having said that i think this hotel is good value... This is a small (50 rooms or so) hotel in the heart of Monti. The rooftop terrace gives spectacular views of Rome. The beds are a bit hard, so bear that in mind, but the service is top notch and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. It's easily within walking distance to the Colosseum and the Cavour metro stop.... More

The beds are all new, so that's why you had this impression, but I think it's important to always renew the forniture... More

I just came back from Rome, during this visit I stayed at Hotel Colosseum, reserved a room for one person with double bed but instead had 2 single beds, the room was pretty small but for one person it was good enough and that probably the only con. Everything in the room was nice and clean, I do believe I... More

Dear Client StarGate7, thank you for your review, I am glad you liked our hotel and our location. Exactly we are located in the very nice neighbourhood Monti, buzzing with cool bars, fashion shops and traditional restaurants, smaller and less touristy than the nightlife hub of Trastevere. But more interesting is that our hotel is located in a quiet street... More

Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
