Friendly helpful staff & clean comfortable rooms. Able to leave suitcases after checkout to enable more sightseeing before leaving the city. Located in a quiet side street away from anything other than local traffic. Pretty roof terrace to have an evening drink & look over the sights. Enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Colosseum for 4 nights’ over 12th -16th February. We cannot fault the hotel at all. Although it is a 3* hotel the service we received was better than some of the 4 and 5* hotels we have stayed in. It was our first time in Rome and the staff were very helpful... More

Hotel was within walking distance of the Termini train and metro stations. Easy walk to the Roman Forum and real Colosseum. Room was a generous size (by European standards). Roof top bar has a great view at sunset. Breakfasts were generally good.

Dear KevinErika, thanks for your review. As you said we are located in the centre of Rome, exactly in the district Monti, in the heart of Rome. One description of the Monti distric is this: A stone's throw from Rome's Colosseum, you'll find the up-and-coming neighbourhood of Monti, buzzing with cool bars, fashion shops and traditional restaurants, loved by a loyal... My daughter and I spent one night at the Hotel Colosseum during our recent visit to Roma and were very impressed with the room. It was clean and comfortable with the bathroom being a little larger than the typical size in this price range. The wifi was easy to access and free. Breakfast was included and was a typical European... More

Hotel Colosseum was a recommendation of the organizers of a seminar we participated, and it proved to be a very good accommodation on a quiet side street. We arrived by walking 1,2 kilometres from Termini railway station. Metro station Cavour is nearer, about 300 metres from the hotel, but the uphill route from metro station to the hotel along Via... Staying in Monti

Neighborhood Profile
Monti
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighborhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighborhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.
