I had booked this hotel mainly for its excellent location and good reviews. I was travelling with my elderly mother, a wheelchair user and 2 tween daughters. I had made a reservation for a quadruple room for 3 nights post-cruise. We arrived by private taxi and had to park some 50m from the hotel. The coarse cobblestone at the area... More

This hotel is a gem first of all because of its excellent location -right next to the Pantheon- and close to everything in Rome. We walked to the Colosseum, Vatican City, Trastevere, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna and, of course, Piazza Navona. Second, everybody was very polite and helpful. The rooms are clean and quite descent. The only thing... More

We chose this little hotel because of its central location. It was a good choice, the hotel was comfortable (a little dated), helpful staff, good Italian breakfast buffet. The Pantheon is just around the corner. There is a taxi stand across the piazza at the Pantheon. The Vatican is about 10 minutes by taxi. There are several good restaurants/pizzerias at... More

If you look at a tourist map of Rome, the Pantheon is virtually in the middle - which makes a hotel that opens up into it's bustling courtyard centrally located. We never took public transportation because everything was an easy walk away. There were so many restaurants and shops all around. The staff at the hotel was always friendly and... More

This hotel is literally 10 steps from the Pantheon. A few more and you are in the church of S. Maria Sopra Minerva (they have a 6:00pm Mass each day). Continue to the Piazza Navona and all the splendor the area contains. The hotel staff was wonderful! Teresa and Roberto were extremely kind and helpful. Emily in the breakfast room... More

This hotel is wonderful. The staff are so kind, patient and truly interested in helping you feel good and happy. Rainshowers were great with nice hot water and good pressure. Bathrooms are large. Rooms are tastefully decorated in classic Italian which I love. I changed rooms from the street side to the back/courtyard. Much quieter. TV movie selection nice, although... More

We have just returned from this hotel following a 3 night break to Rome. Myself and my husband stayed at this hotel after much researching and deliberation - and it sure paid off! This hotel is a short drive from Rome Ciampino airport (40-50 euros in private taxi), the taxi dropped us right outside the hotel - which is literally... More

We only had one night in Rome after our cruise finished here and we decided to stay at the hotel pantheon because of its location. Absolutely perfect for site seeing! The only negative (which is not the hotels fault!) is that it is on a very busy street so at night it was extremely noisy (until 1am on a Sat... More

My elderly mother and I arrived at this hotel on 13th October having made a last minute booking after a real mess with Expedia, including losing a local flight. I decided to select Hotel Pantheon, surprised that it was now available having been unable to book it earlier, believing everything woul be perfect having stayed their before several times a... 3 nites in a standard room cost $1K, pricey for the quality of room and services. Internet in room non-existent. However location is great, right by the Pantheon and plenty of restaurants and actvity.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
