We stayed here for 2 nights, arrived late afternoon. The guy at the desk sent us to Room 404. This room, to me didn't seem part of the hotel. it was on the roof! A stand alone room built on the roof top. We had to get out the lift on the 3rd floor and walk up to the room,... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel in Rome. The location is very convenient for getting in and out of the city as it is right next to Rome Termini (train station). However, it is not a short walk from any of the main attractions with about a 20 minute walk to the colosseum and I wouldn't... More

We stayed at the Royal Court Hotel for 4 nights from 30 October for a city break to explore the sites of Rome. We found the hotel on the British Airways web page and checked Tripadvisor for comments, which were mostly positive. We were given Room 316, which was at the back of the hotel, away from any traffic noise... More

As the other reviews say 5 mins walk from Termini, ( go out the right hand Termini side entrance, trains behind you) and Via marghera is right across the road very easy to find. As other reviews say its not close to the main attractions i.e Vatican and Colosseum. i would disagree with these statements Rome has things to see... More

Convenient and safe location, very close to the main train station, two lines of metro and a number of buses that can take you anywhere in Rome. Friendly staff. Very clean. Good wifi. Small room. There is a small refrigerator in the room. The furniture is very old and we did not like it at all. Did not feel like... More

Stayed here for 1 night for a business meeting in Rome. It was good value at <€100, the room was fine (free WI-FI, nice spa bath, writing desk) and the décor was very pleasing (traditional not modern). Breakfast was OK, there was some hot bacon and scrambled eggs as well as plenty of cold food to choose from etc. Staff... More

A fantastic hotel in a quiet part of Rome. The staff were excellent very polite and helpful. Our room was on the roof and had a private terrace, it was clean and we got fresh towels as required. My wife and I stayed at the Royal Court 29 September to 2 October. We had a great stay. Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
