We stayed here for 3 nights and it was great! A little expensive compared to other places we stayed at in Italy, but worth it for the location and room quality. It's right down the street from the Termini, so you don't have to carry your bags far if you take the train into Rome. Room was very clean and... More

We arrived in Rome a few days before our cruise from Civitavecchia, to have time to do some sightseeing in Rome. We were very pleased with how close the Royal Court was to Termini, as it made getting back after a long day much easier. The neighborhood is quiet, and there are lots of places around to sit and eat,... More

They warn you before visiting Rome that you will be doing A LOT of walking, so obviously you need a hotel that is located in the best possible area. The Hotel Royal Court is that hotel, it's conveniently a 5/10min walk away from Termini station which allows for easy access to the metro and the railway if you choose to... More

We booked the Royal Court via lastminute.com. We arrived outside of the Termini mainline station having travelled in from the airport by Terravision coach. (Although other transfer coaches were available). The hotel was off of a side road next to the Termini station and fairly easy to find once we spotted the road name. Although the use of I-Phone map... More

We just returned from 8 nights at the Hotel Royal Court. Our superior room, Rm. 204, was large, clean, with a very quiet air conditioner, and a very comfortable large bed. We did not plan to spend much time in the room, but ended up taking mid-day breaks each day during the hot afternoons. It was just lovely. The room... More

This hotel is perfectly located by Termini allowing easy access to anywhere in the city. We had a triple room which was very clean. Room service tidied the room everyday providing fresh towels. Georgia on reception could not have been more helpful and advised us of the places to visit in the short time we were there. We were very... More

We chose this hotel based on it's proximity to Termini Station (3 min walk) and were glad we did. My wife and I arrived a couple of hours before the rest of our tour group and were tired after travelling all day. The hotel desk staff directed us to their wonderful shaded courtyard and sent one of their staff to... More

The location of this hotel is excellent being close to the train station and attractions. In actual fact this is the real advantage of this hotel. Staff are very helpful with Roman at the front desk being excellent. Breakfast was of a sound standard with excellent coffee made on request. Overall the hotel is of some age however they mostly... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
