We only stayed at the hotel one night. Our stay there was booked by the cruise line. When we read reviews on the hotel, we were a little concerned about what to expect as most reviews we read seemed to be average at best. However, all four in our party agreed that the hotel was decent and clean and not... more

This is a dingy hotel in real need of renovation. The staff in reception were unhelful and surly (can't blame them with the complete lack of natural light, I suppose), and the rooms felt unclean and nicotine stained. I'm not sure how this is even possible, but the air coming out of the hairdryer stank of cigarette smoke. The only... more

My fiance and I just got back from two nights at the Jolly Hotel. For the price (we paid about 120 pounds per night) it's a fine place to stay - the hotel won't make your stay in Rome extra special, but it won't ruin your stay either. Our standard double room was an older style and quite small and,... more

My girlfriend and I stayed here at the beginning of September ('05) whilst on holiday in Rome, and were both happy with the place. The rooms are well-sized, modern and clean. Our room was at the back of the hotel & so offered a nice view of Villa Borghese. The location is good - 2 things nearby are the Spanish... more

My adult daughter & I were guests at Jolly Vittorio Veneto 6/24-7/1/05. We were impressed by the friendly English-speaking staff, especially the concierge. The room was clean & had all amenities except a radio alarm clock. (They were excellent at giving us wake-up calls on time). We kept the air conditioning on the coldest setting & closed the drapes every... more

My husband and I have just returned for a 3 night stay. The hotel staff could not do enough for us - nothing was too much bother. Our room was immacualte and well furnished, we had full maid service every day. Only draw back was that although the food in the restuarant was lovely we found it expensive compared to... more

The hotel rooms are mediocre. We had no carpets, and the rooms are older looking. The restaurant..beware..do not eat any meals besides breakfast there. Hysterically expensive and terrible tasting. An o.k. place to stay, but not much more than that. more

We only booked the first five nights of our 18 day trip to italy to be flexible. We planned to book the other hotels a couple of days prior to our arrival in the next town via internet. When we were headed to Rome we checked Expedia. There were not many options at 4 star level. I am glad that... more

August 6, 2004 My wife and I visited Rome from July 11 to 15, 2004. What a great city. We stayed at the Jolly Hotel Vittorio Veneto (very close to Via Veneto) and walked ALL over the city. I would definetely recommend this hotel to people going to Rome. Rome is very “walk-friendly” (pardon my English) and you don’t need... more
