We've stayed at the Hotel Bolivar several times in the past few years. It's smack dab in the middle of the city, but thanks to being tucked into a tiny alley, it's quite peaceful. The staff is great: professionally welcoming without being oily or intrusive. The night manager has steered us past any number of touristy snarls, having been a... More

We stayed at this hotel twice in May of 2012 using Choice Hotel points. The amount needed is quite a bargain. The first room, with two twin beds was very small. The second which was listed as three beds, but was twins put together and a very comfortable pull out couch, was far roomier and had a balcony. The rooms... More

By American standards, this is an average hotel. The biggest advantage is its location. If you can walk up and down steps, it's outstanding - within 1 km of the Roman Forum and Trevi fountain. It's also set back from all streets with cars, so it's quiet. Location is the reason I booked it for a long weekend. I was... More

May 2012, My husband, son and I spent 3 nights at the Hotel Bolivar in Rome. The staff was fantastic. Very friendly, went out of their way to help. They even printed tickets for us from our laptop to the coloseum, so we wouldn't have to wait in line. Recomended great local restaurant Al bruchetta near by on Via Sentinalle.... More

An old hotel but a real gem. The rooms are small but spacious and very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and obliging, you get the feeling that nothing would be too much trouble. Breakfast is included in the roof garden and very tasty. Highly recommend

this stay was wonderful, the staff was very considerate, very helpful. We particularly enjoyed the location of the hotel (right in the city centre, so easy of access) and the Roof Garden restaurant for breakfast with the spectacular 360° view, even more impressive in the morning.
