The Hotel Atlantico is a very good place to stay on a trip to Rome. The hotel is a 4 * located close to the Termini and all Rome transport options. It is co-located with it's sister hotel and shares most facilities. The rooms are spacious if a little old fashioned in style, the bathrooms are excellent. the lift is... More

I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to Rome for his 25th birthday for 4 nights in July. I was worried about where to choose - I find it hard to pick something for someone else! I decided on the bettoja Atlantico Hotel and I am so glad that I did! The hotel is a five minute walk from termini... More

We enjoyed our stay here. An older hotel that has a unique atmosphere. Rooms quite large if not having that "old world charm". Booked it as we could walk to termini and also not far to walk to the Forum and Colosseum. Breakfast that was included was okay. A bit of hit and miss each day as to what you... More

This is an updated old fashioned hotel located close to the train station and metro. The room was clean, large enough with high ceilings, a comfortable bed and all of the necessities for our almost week long stay. The view was not great, but it really doesn't matter because we were out all of the time. The bathroom was clean... More

I've never seen a hotel with more "No Smoking" signs posted, even in the room, and they provide ash trays INSIDE the room. The room had a horrible cigarette stench. And it will get into your suitcase, and make all of your clothes stink after a few days there. The size of the room was nice, decent bedding and furniture.... More

The Atlantico is in a unique central position and close to the. Railway station in Rome centre. The staff are the jewel in the crown of this hotel along with the setting fir breakfast. The room was beautiful and had a good view of the centre of the city. I am returning to this hotel next week and would re... More

This hotel is in a good location, close to Termini station and walking distance to most popular tourist sites. The rooms are clean and are a good size as far as European hotel rooms go, although smaller than most US hotel rooms. The bathroom was also roomy and the water pressure was fabulous (which is the difference between an ok... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with my 16 year old daughter. Hotel was clean and comfortable and quite central for different things and felt like you had stepped back in time. Termini station was a three minute walk away, colliseum was approximately 20 minutes walk down via Cavour. The hotel is joined to the medittarano which has a fantastic... More

A decent 3 star hotel it is, but not a 4 star (Italy is a developed country so should be on par with the UK standards) Positive - Great location, 3 min walk to Roma Termini for trains around the country (e.g. Florence) and the airport 'Leonardo Express', as well as the nearby Metro station. - Great hotel customer service... Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
