The hotel is close to Termini Station, which facilitates to get to the station. The hotel isn't new, but is preserved. Have elevator to get to the rooms, but have a few steps to climb. The room have a good size, the bath too, and are clean. Have breakfast buffet, but doesn't have a great variety of fresh fruits. Have... More

I didn't really know what to expect upon booking this hotel. However, it turned out to be a good pick as it was close to public transportation and we did not have difficulty getting to all the attractions in Rome. The room was large and cozy. If you're looking for fancy this isn't the place you want to stay. I... More

Beautiful room on the 6th floor accessed through vintage cage elevator, with entrance foyer and balcony overlooking busy Via Cavour and in sight of Roma Termini. Quiet and peaceful haven right in the city center. Walking distance to Piazza Republika and close to Roma Termini. Lots of eateries and shopping in vicinity. Not more than 20-25 min walk to Spanish... More

Hotel Nice clean hotel. Beautifully kept in its original 1930's decor. Room was very large with good bathroom. The bed was awful, it was though there was no mattress on it! If this bed was better the hotel would easily be heading towards 5*. Reception staff Sufficient but do not smile at all! Breakfast Outstanding. Was really surprised at the... More

I stayed at Hotel Atlantico for over seven days as part of a professional group tour. The hotel is wildly miscategorized as a "four star" hotel when it can barely meets the standards of a two star hotel in Europe. Paying through a group tour consolidator, we were completely overcharged for this dumpy place, a fact that all of us... More

Very convenient location, only 200 meters from the Termini station. The hotel of course is old as all the hotels in the center of Rome but clean and with a sense of something romantic. Our room was on the 6th floor and we also had a balcony, which was very nice. One problem we had, and I think that in... More

We stayed here for two nights in April 2015. Our room was very spacious and more than adequate. The elevator is very small, however, and a bit antiquated. We traveled with a group and sometimes took the stairs to our fourth floor room because of long elevator waits. The bar is adequate and had a nice array of hors doeuvres... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
