Close to train station and Coliseum. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. The cleaning lady was super sweet! Nice breakfast. Very friendly staff at the desk helped us several times with arrangements. No complaints what so ever.

My husband and I recently visited Rome and stayed at the Atlantico. It's a quaint hotel. We liked the size of our room, very clean, great attention to detail. Our room was a double room so two twin beds were joined to make our bed. I wish there had been a mat at my bedside and night stand. Also wish... More

The room is confortable and has a good size too. When I arrived they where facing a problen with Water supply, what was supposed to be solved within 20 minutes acording to the hotel staff but took more than 2 hours. Staff was helpful on arraging the transfer to the airport. Location is ok but not very good: as Rome... More

Good people. Doesn't have many of the American amenities. Air conditioning poor. no ice on floors, small elevator... but great breakfast. Close to the ruins and train station. Stefano especially good and helpful. Speaks English well.

I booked a room that was promised AC & Wifi. I didn't receive either one of those in good conditions. The AC hardly worked and made the rooms very stuffy & humid. The wifi worked the first day but the second day I was left without Wifi. I called down to the front desk and they told me it worked... More

Great location just two blocks from Termini the main transportation hub. Alberto, Stephano, and Roberto were super helpful with advice, recommendations, and sorting out travel problems. No matter what the request....no problem. There is also an excellent rooftop restaurant and a great morning buffet breakfast. Free WiFi, good connection

Central and clean. Breakfast good compared to what you would expect in Continental Europe (Bacon, scrambled eggs, good coffee, organic options). Not too noisytaking location into account good room temperature. Staff comes across as a bit reserved, but that seems to be due to language. Rooms were clean and tidy with no carpets. Forget the wifi in the room, they... More

The hotel is located very close to the train station in central Rome. The area has many restaurants to choose from and the roof top patio at the hotel itself has excellent offerings with incredible views of the city. You are a mere 15 minute walk from the Coliseum, Forum, Circus Maximus, Palatine hill etc. A ten minute taxi ride... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
