Just came back from here today, the hotels location is amazing for tourists, it's so close to the termani station and everything is there. So easy to get around Rome from here. But the hotel is in need of a huge refurbishment, the carpets on the stairs are black, the rooms walls are a shade of black and a massive... More

It's our favourite place to stay when we are in Rome. Very nice staff, friendly and helpful, they recognize you when you come for the next time. Excellent location, very clean rooms, good breakfast, everything fresh. I will come back for sure.

We spent 5 nights in Hotel Corot at the end of September. The location is great, very close to Termini station & lots of restaurants around. Hotel staffs are very helpful & pleasant. Free in room Wifi & air-con. works well. Rooms are very quiet & comfortable. Definitely will stay in this hotel again for our future visit in Rome.

We spent 2 nights in this basic hotel which had been booked for us by our Travel Agent. It is centrally located in walking distance for most of the tourist attractions in Rome. I think that the price per night was the biggest attraction. It looks pretty grubby in the entrance and stairway areas, but the room was clean and... More

Pros: Great location for getting to Termini station and close to many restaurants. Clean and tidy hotel room. Free wi-fi in rooms. Breakfast was what I would expect from 3-star accommodation. Cons: Beds were severely uncomfortable, street light shone directly into our window, aircon had to be controlled from reception and jacuzzi was just a bath with jets (and we... More

This is my go to place for those nights when just passing through Rome. It is half a block from Termini where you can store some of your luggage and pick it up on your way back through Rome or if staying at the Corot they will store your luggage for you as well... The rooms are clean, breakfast is... More

I stayed for three nights at the Corot. It's ideal if you are taking the train from Termini, barely a half block away. The building seems a bit run down but it was clean, had minimum amenities, and felt very safe. The rooms are in an adjoining (connected) building, which is also a hotel, while the breakfast area is in... More

Stayed at the Corot first week of July 2014 for a week having previously stayed here back in 2008 & 2009 but didn't leave a review back then. The Corot offers a clean, comfortable and centrally located base for you to explore all that Rome has to offer. The room we stayed in was on the second floor (203) and... More

Stayed 1 night. The good: The first hotel that we stayed in in Italy that had a few english language tv stations. The room was clean and decent sized. A great place to stay if you need to be near the train station. Good breakfast buffet. Free wifi. The not so good: The hotel is showing its age. The carpets... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighborhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighborhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighborhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic center. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
