Lovely hotel situated right in front of the Parlament building in Rome. Only 10 min walking to the Trevi Fountain and 20-25 min to Spanish Steps. Despite that the building is not of a modern design it is well preserved and looked after. We loved the breakfast room on the roof of the hotel which allows you a great view... More

It's very Rome, very warm and comfortable place. In the very heart of Rome you will find a charming place with 50-60s design but fresh. Perfect location, cost rooms, delicious breakfast. A roof-top swimming pool for summer time. One big gap - reception staff. Never smile and has no idea about the customer service.

I have always wanted to visit Rome and staying at the Colonna Palace sealed our visit to Rome as fantastic. It is based in the very heart and centre of Rome in a beautiful Piazza, and you can literally walk to anywhere if you are able bodied. Taxis are plentiful as well in case you need them. It is like... Only a short walk to most of the common old Rome classic tourist sites, the hotel is old but well kept up. The staff was excellent and always prompt and caring. A/C worked fine during a hot July week and when the closet was too small for my wife's over-packing, the staff brought us a portable hanging rack! WiFi worked... More

The staff, rooms, and location are amazing. The roof top view was coliseum to the left and Vatican to the right. Everyone seemed eager to provide restaurant recommendations(20+ awesome restaurants within 2 minutes slow walking distance)

I left some items of clothing in a drawer. I found out that they were missing a few hours after checking out. The only place these items could have been was in the room. I immediately called the hotel. The next day I received an email saying that there were no clothes left in the room. I can come up... More

My husband and I recently spent 6 nights in Rome - five at the Colonna Palace and one at the Westin Excelsior. The Westin was pricey and pretentious. We felt like were staying at the Bellagio in Vegas, not Rome. The Colonna Palace feels like Italy. Our room was clean and relatively spacious for a European hotel. Absolutely no problems... More

Firstly, the good points about the hotel. The location is excellent and the view from the rooms over the piazza are fantastic. The bellboy was a star and very helpful and the bar staff (same elderly gent throughout our stay) was a delight!! The negatives unfortunately far outweigh the positives. We booked a superior room which looked excellent on booking.com... More

My sister & I stayed at this hotel on our recent visit to Italy. We found the facilities and staff of a high quality. Breakfasting on the roof dining area was fabulous, the view was fantastic. We stayed on our first 2 nights and last day. It is situated in a fantastic position, very close to all the sites, so... More

Excellent location, accomodating & informative front desk staff, especially the young man from Tunisia & Hector.Bartenders were friendly & served our group of 13 + snacks nightly in period decorated intimate lobbies. Hotel was old but clean. Visited from April 9-13th, windows were open, not noisy at night. Charming roof top area for breakfast or evening cocktail.

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
