Great location of this hotel, you can walk to all the sights. Much better then my last trip 10 years ago. Room was clean and tidy, the beds probably need an upgrade, but after all the walking you will do, its a very comfortable sleep! Breakfast on the top floor was adequate, when the weather is fine the terrace is... More

Very good quality hotel, with great location. Room was fine, albeit a bit small, but with all necessary amenities. Breakfast was great on the top floor at the outside terrace, with a great view of the city. The only negative point was that one has to pay for Internet, and in spite of this, the connection was not so good.... More

I stayed here for one night on business. The hotel is in the old town pedestrianised district opposite the parliament building. The location for restaurants and walking through the old town is superb. The central location does mean small rooms and some of which can be noisy from the streets outside. My third floor standard room had a lot of... More

I think whether a guest enjoys this hotel depends on the room they are assigned. The professional pictures on this hotel website are very misleading, as they appear to represent only the renovated rooms and not the rooms which I saw during my stay. The first room I was allocated was awful as it was small, very noisy, had a... More

This hotel is excellent choice for those that wish to walk at the historical part of the city just nearby the parliament. Good for a short city break. Ancient installation has the most wonderful place for breakfast on the top of the building

I booked a four night stay for myself, my mum and two friends and we would return. The roof terrace for breakfast was idyllic with a good range of hot and cold food, staff were attentive but did not hover. The rooms were clean, comfortable and excellent toiletries. The Aperol spritz cocktails served in the bar/lounge were a necessity after... More

We visited this hotel for the second time in August 2014. This is a traditional family hotel in a perfect location. Central to all the action in Rome but with the offer of peace and quite when you need it. We had a perfect holiday here. The hotel is not over fussy but always clean and welcoming. Staff are efficent... More

This is a brilliantly located hotel with charming staff and nice big rooms. But it is very noisy throughout the night (I know, it's central Rome, but even so....); we slept very badly. Also the time has come for a lot of investment in new furniture and fittings. The breakfasts are very repetitive and limited after more than two or... More

Stay at this hotel our last night in Italy before we flew home out of Rome. We arrived and it took an awfully long time to check in and for the staff to find the porter to get us to our room (245). The hallway looked nice but that's where it ended. Once we entered the room I noticed an... More

The Colonna Palace was perfect for us as we wanted to visit Rome on our own. It was so close to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Great restaurants were plentiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the back of the hotel and it was noisy early one morning when the garbage was being... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
