This this was booked though an agency, and the Hotel was chosen because of the central location. The Location is the most positive aspect of this hotel. The breakfast up on the rooftop was disappointing put in the light that this was a four star hotel. The breadrolls were hard and dry, even when warm. We skipped breakfast the last... More

I have travelled through Europe for the past 3 weeks (London - twice, Paris and Mykonos) and this would have to be one of the worst hotels I have stayed in, in the world. The room looks nothing like the pictures and is outdated. The carpet has stains all over it, the beds are hard, springy and sink in the... More

Just back from staying in this hotel in Rome - situated a short walk from the main shopping street (think Oxford street London) but more importantly it is incredibly well located for the main tourist sites - even the Vatican is a walkable distance for those so inclined. It may look at little run down from the outside and it's... More

Comfort, pleasant staff, clean, centrally located - there is nothing I could say bad about this hotel! The breakfast every morning had stunning views! The beds were perfect after a day of touring Rome on foot.

Maybe not your five star hotel in appearance but the service and comfort is up there. The hotel which is adjacent to Parliament House is well located, and within comfortable walking distances to the majority of key landmarks in Rome, including the Vatican, The Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum. At the street front is the Via Del Corso, a... More

Lovely hotel situated right in front of the Parlament building in Rome. Only 10 min walking to the Trevi Fountain and 20-25 min to Spanish Steps. Despite that the building is not of a modern design it is well preserved and looked after. We loved the breakfast room on the roof of the hotel which allows you a great view... More

It's very Rome, very warm and comfortable place. In the very heart of Rome you will find a charming place with 50-60s design but fresh. Perfect location, cost rooms, delicious breakfast. A roof-top swimming pool for summer time. One big gap - reception staff. Never smile and has no idea about the customer service.

I have always wanted to visit Rome and staying at the Colonna Palace sealed our visit to Rome as fantastic. It is based in the very heart and centre of Rome in a beautiful Piazza, and you can literally walk to anywhere if you are able bodied. Taxis are plentiful as well in case you need them. It is like... Only a short walk to most of the common old Rome classic tourist sites, the hotel is old but well kept up. The staff was excellent and always prompt and caring. A/C worked fine during a hot July week and when the closet was too small for my wife's over-packing, the staff brought us a portable hanging rack! WiFi worked... More

Staying in Colonna

Neighborhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very center of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping center, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
