The Colonna Palace was perfect for us as we wanted to visit Rome on our own. It was so close to the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. Great restaurants were plentiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the back of the hotel and it was noisy early one morning when the garbage was being... More

We (my daughter and myself) stayed at the Colonna Palace for the last two nights of our Italy experience. The room was a good size but the single beds were very small with no top pads over the mattresses for comfort - so the springs were a problem. Our floor carpet was stained and the ensuite door had two large... More

We stayed five nights. We last stayed in 2001. It has a nice central location opposite the Parliament building. There is a permanent (but varied) political protest alongside the hotel. This is not a nuisance or intrusion - just a matter of interest. Our room was large and comfortable and breakfasts on the roof were pleasant. My wife felt tinned... More

The only thing going for this place is the location it's central. The rooms are old & dated, the beds are uncomfortable and our room was located directly under the kitchen so it's extremely noisy from 6am until 10am as staff set up for breakfast and guests drag their chairs across the floor. Breakfast is very average. The elevators are... More

This hotel is right by Parliament, and a great location in Rome. We loved how convenient it was to the tourist attractions. The rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast on the rooftop was very pleasant.

We stayed at the Hotel Colonna in August and got an excellent price. Our room was surprisingly spacious, well maintained and clean (we were told that it was an upgrade). The bathroom was spotless as well. Other than the unbeatable location, the best part of our stay was the rooftop terrace breakfast. The views are spectacular! The terrace is not... More

The location of this hotel is great - we were able to walk to all major attractions - buts thats where the positives ended for us. We found the staff at reception indifferent, we felt like a nuisance if we asked a question. The entire hotel is extremely outdated and all the furnishings are worn out and the bedding had... More

Great location! but really disappointed with the room given the photos on the hotel site were impressive. The room was tiny. The furniture was ancient and had extensive chipping due to age. We were travelling as a group of five (4 rooms) and they were all less than good. The room rates are high due to the location. We would... More

I stayed in this hotel four nights with several friends. We mainly choose it for its excellent location nearby Via Corso, but we were also pleasantly surprised with the large room sizes and the stunning top terrace views at breakfast. This hotel was great for the purpose of our trip, I can't remember any downsides.

I cannot even say that the customer service in colonna palace is poor it is NON existent!!! You can always judge a hotel by how it responds to problems & Colonna Palace showed its true colours!!! We were a family of 5 travelling together, I booked 2 superior rooms with view & confirmed (via email) that the rooms would be... More
