Wife and I stayed at the Amalia Hotel 09/July/2014 -16/July/2014. Very close to the Vatican Museum, train station and bus stop. Staff was very helpful. Excellent breakfast to start our day. Felt very comfortable and safe. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Room was very clean. We will stay here again on our next Rome visit.

From the outside, this hotel looks huge, however it only occupies 16 rooms, which is the reason for the small breakfasting area. There were 4 in our family and the size caused no issue. It was a typical continental style buffet, with enough choice to satisfy individual tastes. Those who have left negative feedback need to embrace local culture or... More

We stayed at the Amalia Hotel from June 16-20 before leaving for a cruise. I read a lot of hotel reviews before deciding, and I am so glad we made this choice. It is so easy to get to the Vatican tours from this hotel. If you don't have a tour booked, there are lots of vendors at the street... More

We stayed at this beautiful, friendly, comfortable hotel 6/4/2014-6/7/2014 It is right across the street from the Vatican Museum entrance. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, bathrooms great (except no washcloths) which we found consistent throughout our European stay. Staff spoke english and was very helpful in recommending restaurants ect. However, There was a local lodging tax that they... More

My husband and I stayed in Hotel Amalia Vaticano in early June. It was very close walking distance to the train station, the Vatican and major shopping streets. The hotel was incredibly clean and staff very helpful - making recommendations for places to eat and sight seeing information. The bed was very large and hot water plentiful. We thoroughly enjoyed... A small, secure hotel in a fantastically convenient location in Rome. Close to the Vatican attractions, tram, bus and metro, shopping, postal service and restaurants, the hotel is hidden above street level in a quaint building with marble stairs, central courtyards and friendly, helpful staff. Spacious room and continental breakfast included. No restaurant but is surrounded by restaurants at street... More

A great little hotel just between the Ottaviano metro stop and St Peters. Clean rooms, excellent staff and a superb real Italian continental breakfast each morning. Excellent cappacino; by the way!! Just a short walk to St Peters, the Vatican Museum, Castle San Angelo and excellent restaurants. This one is a great value!

Stayed there last week for 4 days. Located primely near the Vatican, and great places to eat, Amalia is a gem of a find. The staff (Maria and Leonardo) are very helpful and nice.
