This hotel has just what you need. It has the best location to the Vatican and St Petersburg Square! Just about 3 or 4 blocks away. There are plenty of places close by to grab a bite to eat and drink. If your looking for a reasonable price hotel in the heart of Rome, then this is your place.

we stayed here for 3 nights in September. we had a very large family room which was perfect for a family of 4. It is situated in a fantastic location with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby and within a very short walk to the Vatican and surrounds. My only dislike of the hotel would be quite small shower and... More

Spent two nights here in mid-November with my wife. Almost booked elsewhere after reading reviews here - but in the end opted to make reservations here on advice of the USO and due to the great location. Very glad we did - we asked for, got, and paid a bit more for a fifth floor room (street side - with... More

Dear Mr. Clay Thank you for having reviewed the Hotel Amalia Vaticano. We are happy that we were able to surprise you but it was easy because the Superior rooms have a little more, with their fine furniture of Tino Sana, Venetian furniture company, a leader in furnishings for luxury hotels and for large cruise ships. And thanks to the... More

Although this is not a fancy hotel, this place was immaculate. The rooms were HUGE and very clean. The bathroom was really big as well. You felt like you were at home since this is in a building where there are tenants as well as guests. However, it does have it's separate door and a security entrance which will prohibit... More

The hotel is in a perfect location for visiting the Vatican, especially, but also for other historic parts of The Eternal City. We were there only for one night. The room was clean and there was air conditioning. Even in October, it was nice to have the room cool (it ran into the high 20s C / 80s F) during... More

This hotel was ideally located within a few minutes of the Vatican City and St Peter's Basilica. The hotel's physical layout afforded greater security for patrons with the reception desk controlling access to the rooms, and each floor containing an additional door to the hallway with buzzer/video camera controlled access; great peace of mind. The free breakfast was a continental... More

We stayed 4 nights in a superior room and it was most satisfactory, clean and very quite up on the fifth floor facing into the court yard. Nicely located close to Vatican. Metro station is 5 minutes walk. Good place for staying for couple nights. Our room was on the top floor and had a view at cupola of the St. Peter's Cathedral. Stayed for a night to be close to the Vatican. Pretty pricey for a tiny standard room. Its in a suite on the 3rd floor. The weirdest part, the toilet is practically in the bedroom with no door. Its exotic to have no doors in the shower , but not true for the WC. Bad: 1. Hardly enough space in... More

Thank you for your review. We have analyzed your review and we understand that open bathroom was not a good idea and we proceeded to install a door for more privacy. 1) definitely, if you was staying with us more nights, we would proceeded to give you a more spacious room. 2) we need to think about it; 3) I... Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
