Great hotel, great staff and a great breakfast. The rooms were a good size and very clean. You can see the Vatican from your room it is that close. Great food and shopping all around the hotel. I strongly recommend the hop on bus as it takes you to the best locations all over Rome. They run at all stops... More

This hotel boasts a very convenient location... so close to the Vatican City. It is clean, and Leornardo and Maria and another mature gentleman at Reception are very friendly. However, I spent three sleepless nights in this small hotel because of the unbearable heat, Apparently, Room 501 was affected by the breakdown of the A/C's compressor during our entire stay!... Family of 8, we had 3 superior rooms on 5th floor. One was the junior suite (room 501), which had two rooms and bath. All beds were firm and very comfortable - no backaches! We found the baths (marble) to be roomy enough and spotless. Central air conditioning was quite adequate even though the temperature was in the high 90's... More

We caught the "Sit Bus" from the airport to Vatican City. This dropped us off approx 15 mins away from Amalia Hotel. (This was the cheapest and comfortable way to travel back and forth to the airport, book online. It only cost 12 Euros per person for a return, where as the train/metro would've cost 17 euros + the hassle... More

Located between Ottaviano metro station and Vaticano. Good transport connection to center - 10 min by bus. Many trattorias and pizzerias by side. Pleasant staff, day-manager speak good English, night administrator also can speak English a bit. Always can help to guests. Helped me to print boarding passes. Rooms are clean, daily cleaning. Some of them as mine have a... More

Very simply an ideal location. Near to Vatican, quite location. Head a couple of blocks north great value restaurants where you can eat with the locals and avoid tourist prices. Also good for public transport - metro nearby and lots of busses from Vatican. Breakfast is simple but very good. Staff very helpful.

Not cheap- almost €260 for 2 nights in April but a good location right next to the Vatican. Standard room with poor shower. No wi fi. Friendly staff. Good restaurants adjacent. We would use this hotel again.

A decent hotel in a quiet location close to St Peter's. The rooms are clean and spacious. We didn't have breakfast as from previous experience its not great. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. If I return to Rome I would stay at the Amalia again.

Very good location - It is very close to metro station and to Vaticane. Competitive prices. Staff was friendly. Our room was big and comfortable, so was bathroom. Free wifi available. Continental breakfast are generally normal, but without extravagance. I recommend, and will stay in this hotel again when I will be in Rome next time.

Have stayed here several times as the location is great, but the hotel has not been refurnished and is very, very basic. The breakfast I remeber with traditional Italian breads is no longer and is a small, not very clean basic counter of foods to go. The television had no English speaking channels. Hotel us therefore great if pure out... More

Thanks for your review. We apologise if our service breakfast wasn't to the standard that we hope for. Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
