Very simply an ideal location. Near to Vatican, quite location. Head a couple of blocks north great value restaurants where you can eat with the locals and avoid tourist prices. Also good for public transport - metro nearby and lots of busses from Vatican. Breakfast is simple but very good. Staff very helpful.

Not cheap- almost €260 for 2 nights in April but a good location right next to the Vatican. Standard room with poor shower. No wi fi. Friendly staff. Good restaurants adjacent. We would use this hotel again.

A decent hotel in a quiet location close to St Peter's. The rooms are clean and spacious. We didn't have breakfast as from previous experience its not great. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. If I return to Rome I would stay at the Amalia again.

Very good location - It is very close to metro station and to Vaticane. Competitive prices. Staff was friendly. Our room was big and comfortable, so was bathroom. Free wifi available. Continental breakfast are generally normal, but without extravagance. I recommend, and will stay in this hotel again when I will be in Rome next time.

Have stayed here several times as the location is great, but the hotel has not been refurnished and is very, very basic. The breakfast I remeber with traditional Italian breads is no longer and is a small, not very clean basic counter of foods to go. The television had no English speaking channels. Hotel us therefore great if pure out... More

Thanks for your review. We apologise if our service breakfast wasn't to the standard that we hope for. About the television, we are sorry that you didn't find the information to tuner the tv from digital signal to satellite , where you do have Cnn or BBC. Glad you still enjoyed your stay and we hope to accommodate you in... More

This hotel has just what you need. It has the best location to the Vatican and St Petersburg Square! Just about 3 or 4 blocks away. There are plenty of places close by to grab a bite to eat and drink. If your looking for a reasonable price hotel in the heart of Rome, then this is your place.

Spent two nights here in mid-November with my wife. Almost booked elsewhere after reading reviews here - but in the end opted to make reservations here on advice of the USO and due to the great location. Dear Mr. Clay Thank you for having reviewed the Hotel Amalia Vaticano. Although this is not a fancy hotel, this place was immaculate. The rooms were HUGE and very clean. The bathroom was really big as well. You felt like you were at home since this is in a building where there are tenants as well as guests. However, it does have it's separate door and a security entrance which will prohibit... More

Staying in Prati

Neighborhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the center, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighboring Borgo, Prati is a local favorite for its aesthetic organization and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
