In line with other reviews of this hotel my wife and I can confirm that this is NOT a 4 star hotel. The room we were given had peeling and torn wallpaper, an electrical socket hanging off the wall, bulging, badly repaired ceilings, no proper shower and a broken toilet seat. The limited buffet breakfast was complimented by lukewarm instant... More

My wife and I booked a five night break in Rome and asked our travel agent for a 4 star hotel. We thought we would be getting a certain standard of accomodation by specifying 4 star, but the Hotel Gallio wasn't even close to what we had hoped for. The room had wallpaper peeling off the walls, dust in the... More

Dirty, old, rude, nasty, waste of money, horrible, bad.. Now the bad stuff to say about this hotel. Don't waste your hard earned cash on this place. Try another hotel. Book at your own peril. Nice reception, but that is a front for shoddy well, everything. Haha you will love the breakfast!!!!!!

Good location (near Termini Station). A little bit unpleasant neighbohood, but - even so - close to Subway and walking distance to Coliseo and other attractions. The carpet was smelly, the shower box was really tiny and amenities were bad. The breakfast was poor, including cold coffee. Definitely the whole hotel needs a renovation.. Not even close to 2 stars.... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and found the hotel and service there very helpful. Our room was more than what we expected and was a great experience for our first time in Europe. Staff, very friendly and helpful. We arrived on Sept 10th. Weather was pretty good and only rained one day. The city was truly amazing.... More

Really good location. Walking distance from Termini station and Rome Center. Our first room was changed as we found dirty towels... Reception offered free upgrade to very nice junior suit. It was in better conditions however still run down and dirty. A/C vent was really full of dirt and dust. Thank God we did not have to use it. Hotel... More

This hotel maybe looks old and uncomfortable, but is a very good hotel. As well the price as the comfort is good. The hotel with roof terrace on which every morning breakfast is served gives you a pleasant view over the old Rome city. In walking distance you can find the Collosseum, Vatican city, Spanish stairs, ..... and even within... More

It was a good location, but the room was a bit run down, smelled & we found several hairs. They also said they provided internet, but it wouldn't work in the room. Overall, nice enough, but only as a cheap option.
