I'll start out with some good points. This hotel was just a short walk or cab ride away from Rome's major attractions. Termini train station is also very close by but not walkable if you have luggage. The staff was also pretty nice and helpful when I asked questions. The AC worked pretty well and the room seemed generally clean.... More

Dear taev314, thanks for your positive review about our location close to Santa Maria Maggiore, Termini, Monti area and not far from the Colosseum. We are sorry about the hot water issue, it happened only for half of a day, and it was immediately solved. We are sorry you didn't like our classical refurbishment, we will do our best to... More

The hotel is about 5 min walk from the Rome train station and 3 min walk from the other metro station. Walkable distances to the colosseum and Roman forum. There are also many interesting restaurants nearby. When I arrived, I noticed the lobby was decent and clean, so I thought this will be a legit 4 star hotel. But as... More

Room size-okay Cleanliness- needs to have a real good cleaning of the shower Staff-great Breakfast-good Comments- -They keep your room key and when you come back to get it they don't check identification they just hand it to you which made me a little worried about who could take my room key. -I did like that they upgraded their floors,... So this was not a conscious choice, but rather a random surprise on Hotwire and I'm glad it was. The location is great, not far from bus stops, from the Cavour metro station, an easy and enjoyable walk to the Colloseum, Trevi fountain (which is still closed) and surrounded by a lot of quaint restaurants, good gelaterias, and grocery stores.... My family, 6 of us, spent 4 nights at this hotel in early June, 2015. We had two rooms, which were both good sized, but a little dated on the decor. Pros - Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The location is good, being just a couple of blocks from the Termini train station, and pretty close to other attractions such... More

We arrived at the hotel to a welcoming receptionist who didn't speak English too well but he was funny and he did his best. The room was very much like a motel room. Nothing special, the room was clean but not what we would call 4 star. The next day we went to a different receptionist for some advise on... More

Very disappointed! Staff at reception not very helpful or welcoming! Room big, but: broken old shower needing changing Asap! Dust under the beds! Wallpaper coming off! Dark! We stayed for 3 nights and asked for the shower gel/shampoo to be replaced the 2nd day. All we manage to get was 1 more little one for the rest of the stay... More

I have recently stayed at Hotel Gallia for 5 nights and had a room on the 4th floor. The seating roof terrace was nice to relax and take a drink with you which was on the 5th floor. The lobby was OK not spectacular and the room was basic but fine for me. Positive points: Great location for most attractions... More

As you can tell from the title, our visit to the Gallia Hotel in Rome was grim. The room was grim, the staff grim and the price, ultra grim. Firstly, Rome is expensive and the Star Rating system in Italy very different from that [in say] the UK or Spain. The Gallia was rated 4 STAR but by UK or... More
